  1. 1. Fragmentation in Proton-Nucleus Reactions from 100 to 1400 MeV

    Author : Henrik Jäderström; Lars Wesretberg; Yuri Murin; Kjell Aleklett; Haik Simon; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : Nuclear physics; proton; deuteron; 20Ne; 28Si; Xe; nuclear reactions; inverse kinematics; recoils; intermediate mass fragments; angular distribution; DCM model; JQMD model; CFEM model; single event upset; Kärnfysik;

    Abstract : The heaviest fragments, recoils, have been studied in proton and deuteron induced 28Si reactions and proton-20Ne reactions at 100-300 MeV per nucleon. Inclusive charge and angular distributions and coincidences between He nuclei and recoils have been compared to two theoretical models, Dubna Cascade Model and JAERI Quantum Molecular Dynamics. 2. 2. Investigations on Emission Sources in Proton-Nucleus and Nucleus-Nucleus Collisions

    Author : Johan Mårtensson; Partikel- och kärnfysik; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; High energy interactions; Fysik; Physics; correlation function.; fermion interferometry; t p and d p ratios; target mass dependence; pion angular distribution; pion excitation function; Heavy ion reactions; intermediate energy; cosmic rays; Kosmisk strålning; högenergi;

    Abstract : Emission sources in proton-nucleus and nucleus-nucleus collisions at intermediate energies have been studied. Pion excitation functions from the absolute threshold to 500 MeV have been measured with an ion beam of continuously varying energy with an energy resolution of 1 MeV. READ MORE

  3. 3. Development of the CHICSi multi detector system and experiments with its auxiliary systems

    Author : Elbert Jan van Veldhuizen; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Radiation sciences; Strålningsvetenskap; Radiation biology; Strålningsbiologi; kärnfysik; Nuclear Physics;

    Abstract : Two new detector systems are described, including several new detector concepts. They areintended for use in heavy ion reaction experiments at the CELSIUS storage ring of the TheSvedberg Laboratory in Uppsala. In addition, results of experiments are presented, togetherwith theoretical calculations. READ MORE
