  1. 1. Planar segmentation for Geometric Reverse Engineering using data from a laser profile scanner mounted on an industrial robot

    University dissertation from Örebro : Örebro universitet

    Author : Mohamed Rahayem; Örebro universitet.; [2008]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Geometric Reverse Engineering; 3D measurement systems; laser scanner; planar segmentation; region-growing; SOCIAL SCIENCES Statistics; computer and systems science Informatics; computer and systems science Computer and systems science; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP Statistik; data- och systemvetenskap Informatik; data- och systemvetenskap Data- och systemvetenskap; Computer and Systems Science; Data- och systemvetenskap;

    Abstract : Laser scanners in combination with devices for accurate orientation like Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) are often used in Geometric Reverse Engineering (GRE) to measure point data. The industrial robot as a device for orientation has relatively low accuracy but the advantage of being numerically controlled, fast, flexible, rather cheap and compatible with industrial environments. 2. 2. Characterization of Small Antennas & Wireless Devices for MIMO Systems in Multipath & Line-of-Sight

    University dissertation from Chalmers University of Technology

    Author : Ahmed Hussain; Chalmers tekniska högskola.; Chalmers University of Technology.; [2014]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; OTA; LOS; RIMP; LTE; MIMO; SDR; USRP; TIS; TRP; Throughput; Rayleigh; Reverberation chamber;

    Abstract : The current thesis investigates over-the-air (OTA) performance characterization of small antennas and wireless terminals in rich isotropic multipath (RIMP) environment, as well as in pure line-of-sight (LOS) environment when taking into account the random positions and orientations of the mobile terminals caused by the realistic user behavior. The latest mobile wireless terminals such as smart phones and tablets can be used in any random orientation thereby making even a received LOS-component appear as a random voltage at the antenna ports over time. 4. 4. Microwave Measurement Systems for In-line 3D Monitoring of Pharmaceutical Processes

    University dissertation from Chalmers University of Technology

    Author : Livia Cerullo; Chalmers tekniska högskola.; Chalmers University of Technology.; [2013]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Pharmaceutical processes; microwave measurements; permittivity; moisture content; dispersive media; finite element method; microcrystalline cellulose;

    Abstract : The monitoring and understanding of pharmaceutical processes are important in order to achieve high-quality products at a low-production cost. The presence of water, e.g. as moisture content in the solid-state pharmaceutical material, is ofparticular interest and importance. READ MORE

  5. 5. Gaining Depth Time-of-Flight Sensor Fusion for Three-Dimensional Video Content Creation

    University dissertation from Sundsvall : Mittuniversitetet

    Author : Sebastian Schwarz; Mittuniversitetet.; [2014]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; 3D video; Time-of-Flight; depth map acquisition; optimization; 3DTV; ToF; upsampling; super-resolution; sensor fusion;

    Abstract : The successful revival of three-dimensional (3D) cinema has generated a great deal of interest in 3D video. However, contemporary eyewear-assisted displaying technologies are not well suited for the less restricted scenarios outside movie theaters. READ MORE
