  1. 1. Narrow-pore zeolites and zeolite-like adsorbents for CO2 separation

    Author : Ocean Cheung; Niklas Hedin; Paul A. Wright; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; CO2 separation; zeolites; phosphates; titanium silicates; ion exchange; flue gas CO2 capture; biogas upgrading; Materials Chemistry; materialkemi;

    Abstract : A range of porous solid adsorbents were synthesised and their ability to separate and capture carbon dioxide (CO2) from gas mixtures was examined. CO2 separation from flue gas – a type of exhaust gas from fossil fuel combustion that consists of CO2 mixed with mainly nitrogen and biogas (consists of CO2 mixed with mainly methane) were explicitly considered. Abstract : The overall aim of this thesis is to illuminate meanings of being a co-worker, supervisor and closely connected to a person developing burnout, and to describe perceptions of signs preceding burnout. The thesis comprises four papers and is based on qualitative data. READ MORE

  3. 3. The chemical nature of CO2 adsorption in zeolite A

    Author : Przemyslaw Rzepka; Niklas Hedin; Webley Paul; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; CO2 adsorption; flue gas CO2 capture; biogas upgrading; zeolite |NaK|-A; physisorption; chemisorption; kinetic separation; in situ diffraction; synchrotron XRD; NPD; NMR; IR; Materials Chemistry; materialkemi;

    Abstract : The climate changes are accelerated by increasing levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere connected to the fossil-fuel-based energy system. Substantial reforms of the system are needed immediately and could include the implementation of carbon capture and storage (CCS) technologies. READ MORE

  4. 4. Exploring Opportunistic Use of Mobile Devices for Studying in Higher Education

    Author : Hedin Björn; Stefan Hrastinski; Olle Bälter; Daniel Pargman; Urban Nuldén; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; mobile learning; e-learning; mobility; atudying; higher education; Media Technology; Medieteknik;

    Abstract : Students today often feel that they have too much to do and too little time. A common strategy to remedy this is to take advantage of opportunities to use “inter-time”, the time between other activities such as waiting or traveling. READ MORE

  5. 5. Cross-linking and surface properties of EHEC and Starch -a QCM-D study

    Author : Jesper Hedin; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []

    Abstract : The increase of the green house gases and the crude oil price has resulted in a willingness to change the raw material in many industries from petroleum-based polymers to natural polymers. One such natural polymer is starch. Today, starch is used in the glue industry in wallpaper pastes. READ MORE
