1. Antenna Designs Aiming at the Next Generation of Wireless Communication
Abstract : Millimeter-wave (mm-wave) frequencies have drawn large attention, specically for the fifth generation (5G) of wireless communication, due to their capability to provide high data-rates. However, design and characterization of the antenna system in wireless communication will face new challenges when we move up to higher frequency bands. READ MORE

2. Numerical Methods for Darcy Flow Problems with Rough and Uncertain Data
Abstract : We address two computational challenges for numerical simulations of Darcy flow problems: rough and uncertain data. The rapidly varying and possibly high contrast permeability coefficient for the pressure equation in Darcy flow problems generally leads to irregular solutions, which in turn make standard solution techniques perform poorly. 3. Mitotic failure and genome stability in benign, premalignant and malignant human tissues
Abstract : Mitotic failure may occur throughout the human lifespan. Individual nuclear mistakes will escape detection within the mass of somatic cells. The probability of nondetection increases with progression in development. READ MORE

4. Advancing the understanding of pilot ignition in dual fuel engines : Experimental and conceptual studies
Abstract : The energy transition is looking for new technologies to reduce CO2 emissions. One of the promising options is the dual fuel engine. In this concept, based on a diesel engine, a small pilot diesel injection is used to ignite a second fuel. READ MORE

5. Dangerous Liaisons : Why Ex-Combatants Return to Violence. Cases from the Republic of Congo and Sierra Leone
Abstract : After disarming and demobilizing, why do some ex-combatants re-engage in organized vio-lence, while others do not? Even though former fighters have been identified as a major source of insecurity in post-civil war societies due to their military know-how, there have been few efforts to systematically examine this puzzle. This study fills this research gap by comparing the presence or absence of organized violence in different ex-combatant communi-ties – all the former fighters that used to belong to the same armed faction and who share a common, horizontal identity based on shared war-and peacetime experiences.
