  1. 1. Synthesis of Substituted Alkanethiols Intended for Protein Immobilization : Chelate Associated Photochemistry (CAP)

    Author : Lan Bui; Peter Konradsson; Bo Liedberg; Markus Hederos; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP;

    Abstract : The first and main part of this thesis is focused on the design and synthesis of photo-activableand metal chelating alkanethiols. Chelate associated photochemistry (CAP) is a novel conceptof combining two well-known protein (ligand) immobilization strategies to obtain a sensorsurface of covalently bound ligand with defined orientation. 2. 2. Metal-Chelate Complexes in Alkaline Solution : On Recovery Techniques and Cellulose-based Hybrid Material Synthesis

    Author : Alireza Eivazihollagh; Håkan Edlund; Magnus Norgren; Joakim Bäckström; Christian Ekberg; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Abstract : For decades, aminopolycarboxylate chelating agents have been extensively used in various industrial applications. The ability of chelating agents to form stable metal-chelate complexes is the main reason for using them to manage metal ions within water-based industrial processes. READ MORE

  3. 3. Chelate-induced changes in metal disposition in pregnant and non-pregnant mice : studies on diethyldithiocarbamate, thiuram sulphides, ethylxanthate, and pyridinethiones

    Author : Suhair Hikmat Jasim; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; PHARMACY; FARMACI;

  4. 4. Studies on mitochondrial adenosine triphosphatase : uncoupler-reversible inhibition of mitochondrial ATPase and related enzymes by metal chelates of bathophenenthroline

    Author : Christine Carlsson-Skwirut; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : The mitochondrial ATPase constitutes the terminal enzyme of oxidative phosphorylation and is, together with similar enzymes present in chloroplasts and bacteria, responsible for the synthesis of ATP from ADP and Pi during electron transport. The enzyme consists of an extrinsic, catalytically active part, called Fl, that is structurally and functionally linked to an intrinsic, proton-translocating device, called Fo. READ MORE

  5. 5. Radiolabeling and Biotinylation of Internalizing Monoclonal Antibody Chimeric BR96: Potential Use for Extracorporeal Immunoadsorption

    Author : Jianqing Chen; Lund Medicinsk strålningsfysik; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; serologi; Immunologi; transplantation; Immunology; serology;

    Abstract : In this thesis, methodology of radiolabeling and simultaneous biotinylation for internalizing monoclonal antibody (MAb) chimeric BR96 (chiBR96) have been investigated by using three element groups of potential therapeutic radionuclides iodine, indium and rhenium, and their different labeling methods. The biodistribution and kinetics of biotinylated and radiolabeled chiBR96 have been studied in colon carcinoma isografted rats. READ MORE
