    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; energy efficiency; energy policy; Sweden; policy research; mixed-methods research; Cost-benefit analysis; energy intensive industries; public transport; Energy Technology; Energiteknik;

    Abstract : Sweden aims to become one of the first fossil-free welfare countries in the world. In 2009, specific energy and climate policy targets were announced for 2020, which exceed the ambition of respective EU targets in some areas. READ MORE

  2. 2. A Framework for Securing e-Government Services : The Case of Tanzania

    Author : Geoffrey Rwezaura Karokola; Louise Yngström; Mariki Eloff; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; e-Government; information security; maturity models; services; technical security; non-technical security; data- och systemvetenskap; Computer and Systems Sciences;

    Abstract : e-Government services are becoming one of the most important and efficient means by which governments (G) interact with businesses (B) and citizens (C). This has brought not only tremendous opportunities but also serious security challenges. Critical information assets are exposed to current and emerging security risks and threats. READ MORE

  3. 3. ICT Platform Integration - MCDM Based Framework for the Establishment of Value Network : Case Study: Mozambique Government Electronic Network (GovNet)

    Author : Lourino Chemane; Oliver Popov; Tatiana Kovacikova; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Computer and systems science; Data- och systemvetenskap; Computer and Systems Sciences; data- och systemvetenskap;

    Abstract : The selection of ICT service providers are among many of the challenges in building networks (intranets and extensions to the Internet) due to the high investment on equipment (CAPEX) and on operational costs (OPEX). This thesis proposes a Multi-Criteria Decision Method based decision support framework via the deployment of the Analytical Hierarchy Process method that can be used to improve selection and evaluation practices. Abstract : In order to contribute to our understanding of how technologies can be used to visualise physical phenomena in order to support teaching and learning of the phenomena at hand, this licentiate thesis explores the ways in which visual representations created with GeoGebra can be used in upper-secondary physics education. In addition, this thesis provides a new model that can be used to characterise students’ representational competence. READ MORE

  5. 5. Enzyme substrate solvent interactions : a case study on serine hydrolases

    Author : Linda Fransson; Karl Hult; Jürgen Pleiss; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; lipase; esterase; specificity; Bioengineering; Bioteknik;

    Abstract : Reaction rates and selectivities were measured for transacylation of fatty acid esters in solvents catalysed by Candida antarctica lipase B and by cutinase from Humicola insolens. With these enzymes classical water-based enzymology can be expanded to many different solvents allowing large variations in interaction energies between the enzymes, the substrates and the surrounding.
