  1. 1. Learning-based Control for 4D Printing and Soft Robotics

    Author : Qinglei Ji; Lei Feng; Lihui Wang; Xi Vincent Wang; Yong Chen; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; 3D Printing; 4D Printing; Soft Robots; Machine Learning; Reinforcement Learning; Control; Production Engineering; Industriell produktion;

    Abstract : Exploiting novel sensors and actuators made of flexible and smart materials becomes a new trend in robotics research. The studies on the design, production, and control of the new type of robots motivate the research fields of soft robots and 4D printed robots. READ MORE

  2. 2. Mangafodipir trisodium (MnDPDP)-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging of the liver and pancreas

    Author : Chen Wang; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Oncology; Liver; pancreas; neoplasms; metastases; endocrine tumor; MR imaging; contrast medium; mangafodipir trisodium; MnDPDP; manganese; Onkologi; Oncology; Onkologi; diagnostisk radiologi; Diagnostic Radiology;

    Abstract : Contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the liver and pancreas is frequently performed to improve the sensitivity and specificity of lesion detection in these organs. The concept of using tissue-specific contrast media is to selectively enhance the normal parenchyma, but not lesions, so that the contrast between tumorous and normal tissue is increased, and lesion detectability improved. 3. 3. Register-based studies of infertility and the use of assisted reproductive techniques : possibilities and challenges

    Author : Chen Wang; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : The implementation of assisted reproductive techniques (ART) has enabled over 10 million births in the past 45 years. Concern for excess risks of adverse birth outcomes has largely, but not entirely, been mitigated by practice recommendations for single embryo transfer. READ MORE

  5. 5. Isolation and characterization of novel intestinal polypeptides of the enteroinsular and brain-gut axes and of macrophages

    Author : Zheng-wang Chen; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : The gastrointestinal tract has been recognized as our largest endocrine organ, from which many peptide hormones, neuropeptides and growth factors have been isolated. There is also increasing evidence that the gastrointestinal tract can be considered as our largest immune organ, from which many antibacterial peptides, cytokines, cytotoxins and chemokines have been characterized.
