1. Multi-Meson Dynamics in Chiral Perturbation Theory
Abstract : This thesis concerns scattering of light mesons in the case where the number of external particles exceeds four (that is, three or more particles in the initial or final state), calculated using chiral perturbation theory. This is both of theoretical interest in the study of scattering amplitudes, and relevant for systems of three or more pions simulated using lattice quantum chromodynamics. 2. Pion and Kaon Dynamics at Higher Orders in Chiral Perturbation Theory
Abstract : Higher orders calculations of processes involving the pion and kaon pseudo-scalar mesons are presented in the framework of three flavour Chiral Perturbation Theory. The purpose is two-fold. First determining the low energy constants of ChPT that are necessary for higher accuracy predictions. READ MORE

3. Soft and Hard Mesons in Chiral Perturbation Theory
Abstract : This thesis deals with Chiral Perturbation Theory (ChPT), an effective field theory for the strong force used to describe meson interactions. The work done can be split in two parts. The first one is on ChPT in its standard formulation. This theory has been very successful so far in describing low energetic processes. READ MORE

4. Meson Properties in Partially Quenched Effective Field Theory
Abstract : Mass corrections and decay constants for light mesons have been calculated in Partially Quenched Chiral Perturbation Theory. The calculations of the charged meson masses have been performed to third order, first for degenerate quark masses, and then, in a second project, for the general case. READ MORE

5. Isospin Breaking in Kaon Decays to Pions
Abstract : The five different K -> 3 Pi and the three K -> 2 Pi decays are calculated in Chiral Perturbation Theory. The calculation is done using different approximations, to study whether this changes the result significantly. First the isospin approximation is used. Discrepancies are then found between theory and experiment. READ MORE
