  1. 1. Painful Ideals : Young Swedish women´s ideal sexual situations and experiences of pain during vaginal intercourse

    Author : Eva Elmerstig; Barbro Wijma; Carina Berterö; Kerstin Sandell; Katarina Swahnberg; Bente Traeen; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Adolescent; Coital pain; Constant comparative analysis method; Dyspareunia; Gender; Sexual intercourse; Sexual situation; Vaginal intercourse; Young women; Obstetrics and gynaecology; Obstetrik och gynekologi;

    Abstract : Many young women today are concerned about their sexual health; an increasing number of them consult gynaecologists, youth centres (YCs) and general practitioners with vulvar problems such as painful sensations associated with vaginal intercourse (VIC). It is known that some women continue to have VIC despite pain. READ MORE

  2. 2. Information exchange in paediatric care

    Author : Eva Mårtenson Wikström; Carina Berterö; Astrid Fägerskiöld; Karin Anna Petersen; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : Ethical demand; Grounded theory; Information exchange; Paediatric care; Qualitative content analysis; Simultaneous concept analysis; MEDICINE; MEDICIN;

    Abstract : Information exchange is an essential component for all involved in the paediatric care encounter. Despite this, most of the research about information exchange concerns adults and the significance of the child’s existence in the encounter have not been given sufficient attention. Therefore, the overall aims of this thesis were twofold. READ MORE

  3. 3. Bioelectrochemical Applications of Reactions Catalyzed by Immobilized Enzymes

    Author : Xiao-Jing Tang; Centrum för analys och syntes; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Acetate Kinase.; NAD NADH recycling; Enzyme Electrodes; Enzyme reactors; Enzyme Immobilization; Electrochemical detection; Flow Injection Analysis; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi;

    Abstract : The sensitivity of biosensors can be increased substantially by incorporation in a substrate recycling scheme. Based on the amplification of NAD+/NADH by the recycling reaction catalyzed by glycerol dehydrogenase (GDH) and diaphorase, NAD+/NADH can be determined amperometrically with around 1000 times higher sensitivity than for the substrate sensing mode. 4. 4. Capacity-controlled Ground Source Heat Pump Systems for Swedish single-family dwellings

    Author : Hatef Madani; Per Lundqvist; Joachim Claesson; Jose Miguel Corberan Salvador; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Heat Pump; Capacity control; ground; ground source; geothermal;

    Abstract : The overall objective of this thesis is to develop a structured method to approach the challenge of better understanding the techniques and potential for capacity control in Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP) systems used in Swedish single-family dwellings. This thesis aims at development of a generic model of the system that can be used for comparative, descriptive, and predictive analysis of capacity controlled GSHP systems in single-family dwellings. 5. 5. Turbulent Swirl Flow Modeling for Combustor Applications

    Author : Andrej V. Smirnov; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : Numerical simulations of three-dimensional confined swirl flows in a combustion chamber geometry are carried out with improved turbulence and combustion models. In the first part of the work a comparative study of six turbulence models is done in application to swirl flow. READ MORE
