  1. 1. Photoelectron Spectroscopy on HCl and DCl : Synchrotron Radiation Based Studies of Dissociation Dynamics

    Author : Florian Burmeister; Eckart Rühl; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Physics; Photoelectron spectroscopy; HCl; DCl; Dissociation dynamics; Born-Oppenheimer approximation; Synchrotron radiation; Fysik; Physics; Fysik; fysik; Physics;

    Abstract : Dissociation dynamics of the ionized molecules HCl and the deuterated system DCl has been studied in gas-phase using synchrotron based photoelectron spectroscopy (PES).The inner-valence "(4σ)-1" photoionization band for DCl and HCl was recorded using maximum resolution in order to probe an interference pattern between a dissociative and a bound electronic state. 2. 2. Experimental studies of ion transport in cementitious materials under partially saturated conditions

    Author : Nilla Olsson; Avdelningen för Byggnadsmaterial; []
    Keywords : Cement; Bruk; Betong; Jontransport; Fukttransport; Sorptionsisoterm; Tillsatsmaterial; Kiselstoft; Masugnsslagg; Ciment; Mortier; Béton; Transport ionique; Transport d humidité; Sorption de vapeur d eau; Additions minérales; Fumée de silice; Laitier de haut fourneau granulé moulu; Cement; Mortar; Concrete; Ion transport; moisture transport; Water vapor sorption; Supplementary cementitious materials SCMs ; Silica fume; Ground granulated blast furnace slag;

    Abstract : Cement production is responsible for a significant portion of manmade CO2 emissions. This motivates the development of cementitious binders with a lower carbon footprint. Considering the emissions in a longer perspective, the durability of concrete structures is absolutely essential. READ MORE

  3. 3. Innate and acquired immunity to Leishmania in humans : the role of the host versus the parasite

    Author : Kerima Maasho; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Leishmania are intracellular protozoan parasites of macrophages which induce chronic diseases in man. The study of this parasite has been instrumental in elucidating many facets of the immune system. Our study set out to understand the immune regulatory mechanisms involved in resistance and susceptibility. READ MORE

  4. 4. Dynamic Systems for Screening, Control and Identification of Protein-Ligand Interactions

    Author : Rikard Larsson; Olof Ramström; Michel R. Gagné; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Dynamic combinatorial chemistry; Dynamic kinetic combinatorial resolution; Catalytic screening; Transthiolesterification; Thiol disulfide interchange; Nitroaldol reaction; Lectins; Hydrolases; Dynamic self-inhibition; Organic chemistry; Organisk kemi;

    Abstract : Dynamic systems for screening, control and identification of different protein-ligand interactions are presented. Dynamic chemistry is used to produce new compounds/constituents in situ that can interact with a target molecule. Several entities can be introduced at the same time and interact with one another. 5. 5. High frequency monoloithic integrated circuits for communication systems

    Author : Mehran Mokhtari; KTH; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : The wavelengths of interest in today's communication systemfront-ends are in the same order of magnitude as the availabledevices and circuit sizes. So the wave nature of theinformation can not be neglected. READ MORE
