1. Functional studies in yeast of cyclin C and the RNA polymerase II Mediator complex
Abstract : Cyclin C belongs to a group of cyclins that are not cell cycle-regulated. It was first cloned from Drosophila and rat, but its role was not understood until the yeast cyclin C homologue Srb 11 was identified in several genetic screens for transcriptional repressors and subsequently was shown to be associated with the RNA polymerase II Mediator complex. 2. Studies on cytokine mRNA expression in mononuclear cells in neuroimmunological diseases
Abstract : Background: Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an inflammatory demyelinating disease of the central nervous system (CNS), characterized by perivascular accumulation of blood mononuclear cells (MNC) and patchy demyelination. High levels of circulating myelin antigen specific T and B cells, with an accumulation in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), suggest the involvement of cytokines in the pathogenesis of MS. READ MORE

3. Semipermeable membrane devices in monitoring of organic pollutants in the aquatic environment
Abstract : Semipermeable membrane devices (SPMDs) are passive samplers capable of concentrating hydrophobic chemicals from water, sediments, soil and air. They consist of layflat polymeric membrane such as polyethylene containing a thin film of synthetic lipid such as triolein. READ MORE

4. Methods and biomarkers for outcome prediction after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation
Abstract : Allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) is a potent immunotherapeutic procedure but its usability is limited by a high risk of serious complications. A prerequisite for timely initiation of preventive measures is the availability of predictive methods. READ MORE

5. Direct RF sampling receivers for wireless systems in CMOS technology
Abstract : The fast development of wireless communication systems asks for more flexible and more cost-effective radio architectures. A long term goal is a software defined radio, where communication standards are chosen by reconfiguration of hardware. READ MORE
