  1. 1. Environmental factors and risk of acoustic neuroma

    Author : David Pettersson; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : The aim of this thesis was to increase the knowledge about environmental risk factors of acoustic neuroma and to increase the understanding of the methodological problems encountered when studying this tumor. 3. 3. A Panel Method for Supersonic Flow

    Author : David Pettersson; Per Weinerfeldt; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; MATHEMATICS; MATEMATIK;

    Abstract : Supersonic airflow is usually described by a nonlinear hyperbolic system of equations. In this thesis we consider an aircraft represented by a union of thin plates orthogonal to the direction of Right, and describe the derivation of an approximate linear model for the airflow around it. The linear model is reduced to a system of integral equations. READ MORE

  4. 4. Process-microstructure-corrosion interrelations for stainless steel

    Author : David Lindell; Rachel Pettersson; Rebecca L. Higginson; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; stainless steel; processing; annealing; pickling; microstructure; corrosion; anisotropy; oxyfuel; Kemi; Chemistry;

    Abstract : Stainless steels were first developed in the early 20th century and have since then emerged as a very diverse class of engineering materials. Along with steels having new combinations of properties, there is a continuous development of new technologies allowing the material to be produced in a faster and more energy effcient manner.
