1. Urban driving patterns - characterisation, variability and environmental implications
Abstract : Driving patterns, i.e. the speed and acceleration profiles of vehicles affect exhaust emission and fuel consumption considerably. READ MORE

2. A model for simulation and generation of surrounding vehicles in driving simulators
Abstract : Driving simulators are used to conduct experiments on for example driver behavior, road design, and vehicle characteristics. The results of the experiments often depend on the traffic conditions. One example is the evaluation of cellular phones and how they affect driving behavior. READ MORE

3. Different aspects of electronic fetal monitoring during labor
Abstract : Background: Cardiotocography (CTG) is a tool to assess fetal well-being during labor and to detect early signs of fetal distress and thereby enable timely interventions to reduce neonatal morbidity and mortality. CTG is associated with shortcomings; poor reliability in interpretation, low specificity with a high proportion of false positive tracings indicating fetal distress when not accurate, no proven effect on rare severe outcomes such as mortality and cerebral palsy, but rather contributing to an increased risk of operative delivery. 4. Structural Safety Design for Real-World Situations - Using Computer Aided Engineering for Robust Passenger Car Crashworthiness
Abstract : Road traffic continues to cause more than a million fatalities worldwide every year. Although many steps have been taken to improve occupant protection in car crashes, challenges still remain for car designers. READ MORE

5. Study of a Pneumatic Hybrid aided by a FPGA Controlled Free Valve Technology System
Abstract : Urban traffic involves frequent acceleration and deceleration. During deceleration, the energy previously used to accelerate the vehicle is mainly wasted on heat generated by the friction brakes. If this energy that is wasted in traditional IC engines could be saved, the fuel economy would improve. READ MORE
