  1. 1. Computer-Assisted Troubleshooting for Efficient Off-board Diagnosis

    Author : Håkan Warnquist; Patrick Doherty; Jonas Kvarnström; Mattias Nyberg; Erik Frisk; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Automated planning; diagnosis; automotive industry; troubleshooting; Bayesian networks; Computer science; Datavetenskap;

    Abstract : This licentiate thesis considers computer-assisted troubleshooting of complex products such as heavy trucks. The troubleshooting task is to find and repair all faulty components in a malfunctioning system. READ MORE

  2. 2. CT Colonography: implementation and technical developments

    Author : Valeria A Fisichella; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : X-ray Computed Tomography; Computed Tomographic Colonography; Computer-Assisted Image Processing; Three-Dimensional Imaging; Colonoscopy; Colon; Rectum; Colorectal Neoplasms; Computer-Assisted Diagnosis; Ionizing Radiation;

    Abstract : Background: Computed tomographic colonography (CTC) is a minimally invasive imaging method for the detection of colorectal neoplasms. Uncertainty about its diagnostic performance, optimal visualization method, long learning curve and radiation exposure are among problems with CTC, affecting its implementation in routine health care. 3. 3. Analysis of Electrocardiograms Using Artificial Neural Networks

    Author : Bo Hedén; Lund Klinisk fysiologi; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; tomography; radiology; Clinical physics; Lead reversal.; Myocardial infarction; Computer-assisted; Expert system; Electrocardiography; ECG-diagnosis; medical instrumentation; Klinisk fysiologi; radiologi; tomografi; medicinsk instrumentering;

    Abstract : Most conventional ECG interpretation programs use decision tree logic for interpretation of the ECG. The performance is generally good but can be improved. Artificial neural networks represent a new computer method, which has proved to be of value in pattern recognition and classification tasks. READ MORE

  4. 4. Computer-Assisted Carbohydrate Structural Studies and Drug Discovery

    Author : Magnus Lundborg; Göran Widmalm; Hans-Christian Siebert; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Carbohydrates; molecular docking; molecular dynamics simulation; fragment-based virtual screening; NMR spectroscopy; computer-aided drug design; computer-aided structure elucidation; glycosyltransferases; Escherichia coli; Organic chemistry; Organisk kemi; organisk kemi; Organic Chemistry;

    Abstract : Carbohydrates are abundant in nature and have functions ranging from energy storage to acting as structural components. Analysis of carbohydrate structures is important and can be used for, for instance, clinical diagnosis of diseases as well as in bacterial studies. The complexity of glycans makes it difficult to determine their structures. READ MORE

  5. 5. Troubleshooting Trucks : Automated Planning and Diagnosis

    Author : Håkan Warnquist; Patrick Doherty; Jonas Kvarnström; Louise Travé-Massuyès; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; automated planning; diagnosis; troubleshooting; automotive systems; Bayesian networks; Markov decision-processes;

    Abstract : This thesis considers computer-assisted troubleshooting of heavy vehicles such as trucks and buses. In this setting, the person that is troubleshooting a vehicle problem is assisted by a computer that is capable of listing possible faults that can explain the problem and gives recommendations of which actions to take in order to solve the problem such that the expected cost of restoring the vehicle is low.
