1. On LFSR based Stream Ciphers - analysis and design
Abstract : Stream ciphers are cryptographic primitives used to ensure privacy in digital communication. In this thesis we focus on stream ciphers built using Linear Feedback Shift Registers (LFSRs). Several different stream ciphers are analysed and new attacks are presented. In addition, two new stream ciphers are presented, both based on the same design. READ MORE

2. Direct electron transfer between cellobiose dehydrogenase and solidmetal or graphite electrodes
Abstract : Direct electron transfer (ET) between the enzyme cellobiose dehydrogenase (CDH) and different metal and graphite electrodes has been investigated. The heme domain of the CDH has been shown to play a key-role in the direct ET. A mechanism for the ET between CDH and graphite electrodes was proposed. READ MORE

3. Radiation Induced Oxidative Dissolution of UO2
READ MORE

4. Trace Formulae for Fourth Order Differential Operators and their Applications
Abstract : Paper I. Trace Formulae and Spectral Properties of FourthOrder Differential Operators. We derive trace formulae forfourth order differential operators in dimension one anddiscuss their connection with sharp Lieb-Thirring inequalitiesfor the Riesz means of negative eigenvalues of order γ≥ 7/4. 5. On the robust stability analysis of VSC-HVDC systems
Abstract : This thesis focuses on small signal stability analysis of VSC-HVDC systems, emphasizing the system stability robustness with regard to the connected AC-grid and the distributed parameter DC-grid model respectively. In addition, for strong AC-grid connected systems, analytical eigenvalue expressions are provided to investigate the impact of physical or control parameters on the system stability for both two-terminal and multi-terminal VSC-HVDC systems.
