  1. 1. Transnational Projects within Multinational Corporations

    Author : Katarina Lagerström; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Business studies; Transnational projects; projects; multinational; MNCs; Företagsekonomi; Business studies; Företagsekonomi; Business Studies; företagsekonomi;

    Abstract : The complexity of organizing and managing the operations within multinational corporations (MNCs) has increased over the recent decades. This has led MNCs to utilize other organizational forms and mechanisms than the ones previously used for increasing collaboration and integration, but also for making use of knowledge developed at units within different countries accessible on a global basis within the corporation. 2. 2. Engineering software for mass-produced embedded systems - Ways-of-working, architecture and ecosystems for innovation

    Author : Ulrik Eklund; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; software engineering; automotive electronics; embedded systems; research and development management; business process re-engineering; research and development; automotive software; software development management; software architecture;

    Abstract : Software is prevalent in many products manufactured today; cars, washing machines, mobile phones, airplanes and satellites, and is often critical for the success of the product. These products are typically developed in large, and sometimes very complex, industrial projects where the manufacturing and delivery of the product is a heavier investment than the software budget. 3. 3. Resource budgeting as a tool for reduced development cost for embedded real-time computer systems

    Author : Mattias Wecksten; Högskolan i Halmstad; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Real-time systems; Embedded; Resource budgeting; Design tool; Tightness optimization; Guarantees;

    Abstract : Wouldn’t it be great if there were a systematic method for derivation of non functional constraints available at design time that made it possible to verify design and make implementa tion a much clearer task? This kind of methods are needed since systems of increasing com plexity has to be developed, and the cost for failing has proven to bee too high. The problem is how to derive the design time constraints into implementation time constraints, maintaining the traceability for the individual constraints, and early on get indications whether a project is about to fail or not. 4. 4. Multi-Criteria Optimization of System Integration Testing

    Author : Sahar Tahvili; Markus Bohlin; Franz Wotawa; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Software Testing; Optimization; Integration Testing; Decision Support System; Dependency; Test Scheduling; Requirement Coverage; Computer Science;

    Abstract : Optimizing software testing process has received much attention over the last few decades. Test optimization is typically seen as a multi-criteria decision making problem. One aspect of test optimization involves test selection, prioritization and execution scheduling. READ MORE

  5. 5. Measuring the Evolution of Meta-models, Models and Design Requirements to Facilitate Architectural Updates in Large Software Systems

    Author : Darko Durisic; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Abstract : Background: In order to reduce complexity of the system and its development cost, the architecture of large software systems is often developed following the MDE (Model-Driven Engineering) approach. Developing architectures according to MDE relies on three main artifacts in the development process: domain-specific meta-models, architectural models and system design requirements. READ MORE
