1. Individual information system acceptance behaviour : An electronic ordering system case
Abstract : Organizations have spent and continue to spend millions of dollars on information systems (IS) in order to enable business success. Information systems have long been used to help managers make better decisions, better understand the nature of customers and improve employee productivity. READ MORE

2. !secure(system) <=?=> !safe(system) : On Security and Safety of Industrial Software Systems
Abstract : The focus of our research work is on readily accessible, embedded, real-time development with concurrency support. To this end, we develop the Real-Time For the Masses (RTFM) programming framework with a model of computation based on tasks and resources and that stipulates a timing semantics. READ MORE

3. Electronic materials : growth and characterisation
Abstract : In this thesis the InSb(111), InAs(111) and GaSb(001) surfaces have been studied by means of time- and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy based upon the femtosecond laser system. The pump-and-probe technique allows to analyse both electron states in the valence band and normally unpopulated electron states above the valence band, which can be occupied by transiently excited carriers at the optically pumped surface. 4. Identifying critical components for system reliability in power transmission systems
Abstract : Large interruptions of power supply in the transmission system have considerable impact on modern society. The goal for the transmission system operator (TSO) is to prevent and mitigate such events with optimal decisions in design, planning, operation and maintenance. READ MORE

5. mm-Wave Data Transmission and Measurement Techniques: A Holistic Approach
Abstract : The ever-increasing demand on data services places unprecedented technical requirements on networks capacity. With wireless systems having significant roles in broadband delivery, innovative approaches to their development are imperative. READ MORE
