  1. 1. Probabilistic Analysis of the EPR-Bohm Experiment

    Author : Guillaume ADENIER; Växjö universitet; []
    Keywords : EPR-Bohm Experiment; Bell s theorem; Local Realism; Fair Sampling;

    Abstract : Bell's Theorem was developed on the basis of considerationsinvolving a linear combination of spin correlation functions, eachof which has a distinct pair of arguments. The simultaneouspresence of these different pairs of arguments in the sameequation is investigated, and the implicit counterfactualassumption in Bell's theorem is discussed. READ MORE

  2. 2. Response of a PANDA electromagnetic calorimeter prototype to energies below 100 MeV

    Author : Dirk Wölbing; Per-Erik Tegnér; Alfredo Davide Ferella; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; fysik; Physics;

    Abstract : The antiProton annihilation at Darmstadt (PANDA) experiment is designed for studies of the strong force. It will be built and placed in the high energy storage ring (HESR) at the facility for antiproton and ion research (FAIR) in Darmstadt. The beam of the HESR consists of anti protons in an energy range from 0. READ MORE

  3. 3. Bell tests and the no-signalling assumption

    Author : Massimiliano Smania; Mohamed Bourennane; Ingemar Bengtsson; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; quantum; quantum optics; Bell tests; CHSH inequality; entanglement; fysik; Physics;

    Abstract : Bell's theorem was originally meant for testing fundamental properties of Nature, namely local realism. However, through the years it has become a powerful device for certifying encryption security, randomness, and entanglement among other properties. READ MORE

  4. 4. The PANDA electromagnetic calorimeter at photon energies below 100 MeV

    Author : Dirk Wölbing; Per-Erik Tegnér; Thomas Nilsson; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; PANDA; vacuum photo tetrodes; electromagnetic calorimeter; fysik; Physics;

    Abstract : The PANDA  experiment (antiproton annihilation at Darmstadt) is designed for studies of the strong force in the transition region between perturbative and non-perturbative quantum chromo dynamics (QCD). It will be built and placed at the high-energy storage ring, HESR, at FAIR (Facility for antiproton and ion research) in Darmstadt and start its first experiments in 2025. READ MORE

  5. 5. Instrumentation development for physics with antiproton beams

    Author : Klas Marcks von Würtemberg; Per-Erik Tegnér; Eberhard Widmann; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; fysik; Physics;

    Abstract : This thesis summarises work done in the preparation for the PANDA (antiproton ANnihilations at DArmstadt) experiment, that will be built at the HESR (High Energy Storage Ring) at FAIR (Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research) and for the PAX (Polarised Antiproton eXperiment) experiment proposed for the HESR.For PANDA, characteristics of the electromagnetic calorimeter have been measured at the tagged photon beam facility at the MAX IV laboratory for 61 photon energies in the range 12-63 MeV.
