1. Coding Strategies for Compress-and-Forward Relaying
Abstract : The deployment of large communication networks with many autonomous devices has opened new possibilities for transmission. In particular cooperation among the different nodes has been identified as an enabling technology to satisfy the increasing demand of resources. READ MORE

2. Multilevel modulation in short-range optical links
Abstract : Power and cost efficient short-range optical links are one of the technologies enabling large scale high-performance computers and data centers. Such links typically use directly modulated vertical cavity surface emitting lasers, multi-mode fiber, direct detection and on-off keying (OOK) modulation. READ MORE

3. Channel Estimation for Amplify and Forward Relay Networks
Abstract : The use of intermediate-relaying nodes has been identified as a promising technique for enhancing coverage and combating the impairments of Multiple-Input-Multiple-Output (MIMO) wireless channels. The main ideais to introduce relays that forward the data to the destination which isotherwise out of the reach of the source. READ MORE

4. Multilevel Modulation and Transmission in VCSEL-based Short-range Fiber Optic Links
Abstract : As the demand for ever higher throughput short-range optical links is growing, research and industry associations have shown increased interest in multilevel modulation formats, such as the four leveled pulse amplitude modulation, referred to as 4-PAM. As on-off keying (OOK) persists to be the choice for low latency applications, for example high performance computing, datacenter operators see 4-PAM as the next format to succeed current OOK-based optical interconnects. 5. Development of the read-out link and control board for the ATLAS Tile Calorimeter Upgrade
Abstract : The Phase-II upgrade plan for the ATLAS Hadronic Tile Calorimeter facing the High-Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) era includes approximately 1000 radiation tolerant read-out link and control boards (Daughterboards) that will provide full-granularity digital data to a fully-digital trigger system off-detector through multi-Gbps optic fibres. Different Daughterboard (DB) revisions have been developed, each successively aiming to meet the demanding HL-LHC requirements. READ MORE
