  1. 1. Percutaneous arthrodesis

    Author : Henrik Lauge-Pedersen; Lund Ortopedi; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Kirurgi; traumatology; orthopaedics; ortopedi; traumatologi; Surgery; finite element analysis; stability; Arthrodesis; percutaneous;

    Abstract : It has been generally accepted that residual cartilage and subchondral bone has to be removed in order to get bony fusion in arthrodeses. In 1998 we reported successful fusion of 11 rheumatoid ankles, all treated with percutaneous fixation only. In at least one of these ankle joints there was cartilage left. READ MORE

  2. 2. Chloride-based Silicon Carbide CVD

    Author : Henrik Pedersen; Erik Janzén; Anne Henry; Yaroslav Koshka; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Chemistry; Kemi;

    Abstract : Silicon carbide (SiC) is a promising material for high power and high frequency devices due to its wide bandgap, high break down field and high thermal conductivity. The most established technique for growth ofepitaxial layers of SiC is chemical vapor deposition (CVD) at around 1550 °C using silane, SiH4, and lighthydrocarbons e g propane, C3H8, or ethylene, C2H4, as precursors heavily diluted in hydrogen. 3. 3. Experimental and quantum-chemical studies of the surface interactions between organic molecules and nanocrystals of (a) RE2O3 (RE = Y or Gd); and (b) TiOb2

    Author : Henrik Pedersen; Per-Olov Käll; Lars-Johan Norrby; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Inorganic chemistry; Oorganisk kemi; Physical chemistry; Fysikalisk kemi;

    Abstract : The increasing interest for using nanocrystals in bio-medical and optical applications has highlighted the need of molecular functionalisation of nanocrystals. Knowledge of how to attach molecules to the nanocrystal surface is a key factor. READ MORE

  4. 4. Scandinavian Subtitles : A Comparative Study of Subtitling Norms in Sweden and Denmark with a Focus on Extralinguistic Cultural References

    Author : Jan Pedersen; Nils-Lennart Johannesson; Henrik Gottlieb; Ritva Leppihalme; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; audiovisual translation; subtitling norms; Extralinguistic Cultural References ECRs ; exposure times; subtitle density; condensation; English language; Engelska språket; English; engelska;

    Abstract : Subtitling is the most commonly read medium of all in Scandinavia, and this study contains a survey of audiovisual translation (AVT), which illustrates the predominance of subtitling over other forms of AVT in Scandinavia. Still, the medium has not been very well researched. READ MORE

  5. 5. Conformal chemical vapor deposition of boron carbide thin films

    Author : Arun Haridas Choolakkal; Jens Birch; Henrik Pedersen; Hans Högberg; Tobias Törndahl; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : The sustainability goals of the modern world and the fascinating properties of sub-micron scale materials promote development of materials in thin film form. Thin films are materials that have thicknesses ranging from sub-nanometer to several micrometers, synthesized by various deposition techniques. READ MORE
