    Abstract : Aspiration of gastric content and delayed or failed intubation are the leading causes of anesthesia-related mortality and morbidity.     Abstract : The present thesis describes the incidence and risk factors for pneumonia and especially ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) among Intensive Care Unit (ICU) patients.
