11. Solvent–Solute Interaction : Studied by Synchrotron Radiation Based Photo and Auger Electron Spectroscopies
Abstract : Aqueous solutions were studied using photoelectron and Auger spectroscopy, based on synchrotron radiation and a liquid micro-jet setup. By varying the photon energy in photoelectron spectra, we depth profiled an aqueous tetrabutylammonium iodide (TBAI) solution. READ MORE

12. The Breakdown of the Protective Oxide on 11% Chromium Steel The Influence of Water Vapour and Gaseous KCl
Abstract : The first part of this thesis is focused on the influence of water vapour on the oxidation of X20 steel (CrMoV 11 1). Three parameters were investigated; pH... READ MORE

13. The High Temperature Corrosion of Alloy Sanicro 28
Abstract : This thesis investigates the influence of potassium chloride in solid and gaseous form on the oxidation of alloy Sanicro 28 (35Fe27Cr31Ni). KCl induced corrosion of chromia forming alloys is important e.g. in fireside corrosion in biomass and waste fired power plants. READ MORE

14. High Temperature Corrosion of Some Stainless Steels
Abstract : The high temperature corrosion of the alloy Sanicro 28 (35Fe27Cr31Ni) is addressed in this thesis. The influence of water vapour and two potassium-containing salts was investigated. In addition, three other alloys were studied. Polished steel coupons were isothermally exposed in tube furnaces at 600–800°C in 5% O2 and in 5% O2 + 40% H2O. READ MORE

15. High Temperature Corrosion Behavior in Biomass- and Waste-Fired Boilers - Insights into catastrophic corrosion and corrosion mitigation techniques
Abstract : Carbon dioxide is contributing to the greenhouse effect and a significant part comes from the use of fossil fuels. Utilizing more renewable fuels is therefore a solution to decrease the net release of CO2 emissions to the atmosphere. READ MORE
