1. Obsessive-compulsive disorder : novel insights on executive functions, gut microbiome, and genetics
Abstract : Background: Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is characterized by intrusive thoughts and images, and repetitive, time-consuming compulsions. It causes disability and impaired quality of life. The neurobiological model of OCD revolves around dysfunctional brain circuits, referred to as the cortico-striato-thalamocortical (CSTC) loop. 2. Hydrodemetallization of Petroleum - Reaction Kinetics, Activity Decay and Long-life Catalysts
Abstract : Hydrodemetallization (HDM) is an indispensable step in industrial catalytic hydroprocessing of residual oils. To develop improved HDM catalysts and reactors, a detailed knowledge of the reaction mechanisms and kinetics, and a good understanding of the mechanisms and process of the catalyst decaying are very important. 3. Cytokines and Neutrophils in the Urinary Tract Mucosa
Abstract : This study investigated the urinary tract cytokine reponse to infection and the role of chemokines for neutrophil recruitment to the urinary tract. The results suggest that 1) IL-8 and TGFb are consitutively produced by uroepithelial cells in vivo, and that uroepithelial cells are stimulated to produce IL-1b and IL-6 by uropathogenic Escherichia coli. 4. High Power Radio Frequency Solid-State Amplifiers and Combiners for Particle Accelerators : From module to system design approach
Abstract : The rise of Big Science projects brings issues related to the energy consumption and the associated environmental impacts of such large-scale facilities. Therefore, environmentally-sustainable developments are undertaken towards the adoption of energy savings and improved energy-efficient approaches. READ MORE

5. CRISPR-based drug target discovery : implications for CRISPR-based therapies
Abstract : The CRISPR system was discovered in prokaryotic cells, and it is now one of the most efficient molecular tools to modify genes in eukaryotic cells. It is widely used to inactivate or modify genes in cell lines, animal models, and is also used in several clinical gene therapy trials. READ MORE
