1. Jasmonates in root nodule development
Abstract : Jasmonic acid (JA), its derivatives and its precursor form a group of phytohormones, the jasmonates, representing signal molecules involved in plant stress responses, in the defense against pathogens as well as in development. Elevated levels of JA have been shown to play a role in arbuscular mycorrhiza and in the induction of nitrogen-fixing root nodules. READ MORE

2. Conservation of transcription factors in infected cells of nitrogen-fixing root nodules
Abstract : Infected cells of nitrogen-fixing root nodules are the only plant cells that can stably internally accommodate a eubacterial symbiont. In the context of studying the differentiation of infected cells, we set about to analyse the conservation of infected cell-specific transcription factors using altogether four different promoters from genes showing infected cell-specific expression, or nodule-specific expression.
