1. Molecular Order and Dynamics in Nanostructured Materials by Solid-State NMR
Abstract : Organic-inorganic nanostructured composites are nowadays integrated in the field of material science and technology. They are used as advanced materials directly or as precursors to novel composites with potential applications in optics, mechanics, energy, catalysis and medicine. READ MORE

2. Enhanced Catalytic Pyrolysis of Biomass for High-Quality Biofuel Production
Abstract : The rapid increase in energy demand, the extensive use of fossil fuels, and the urgent need to reduce carbon dioxide emissions have raised concerns in the transportation sector, since transportation has been primarily dependent on fossil fuels. Biofuel from biomass can make significant contributions to overcome the expected depletion of fossil fuels and reduce carbon emissions. READ MORE

3. Catalytic conversion of syngas to ethanol and higher alcohols over Rh and Cu based catalysts
Abstract : The thermochemical process converts almost any kind of biomass to a desired final product, i.e. gaseous or liquid transportation fuels and chemicals. The transportation fuels obtained in this way are renewable biofuels, which are alternatives to fossil fuels. READ MORE

4. Studies of inorganic crystal structures and gas adsorption process in mesoporous crystals : New approach through analysis of electron charge distribution by synchrotron powder X-ray diffraction
Abstract : Using synchrotron powder XRD experiments, I studied (i) structures of silica mesoporous MCM-41 and MCM-48 crystals, (ii) gas adsorption processes of Ar and N2 in the mesopores of the mesoporous crystals, and (iii) bonding features of CaAl2-xZnx crystals through the analysis of electron charge density distributions. In the case of mesoporous crystals, the following two different approaches were taken depending on the number of observed X-ray reflections1. READ MORE

5. Synthesis, Characterization and Application of Multiscale Porous Materials
Abstract : This thesis work brings fresh insights and improved understanding of nanoscale materials through introducing new hybrid composites, 2D hexagonal in MCM-41 and 3D random interconnected structures of different materials, and application relevance for developing fields of science, such as fuel cells and solar cells.New types of porous materials and organometallic crystals have been prepared and characterized in detail.
