  1. 1. The Organised Nature of Power : On Productive and Repressive Interventions Based on Considerations of Risk

    Author : Magnus Hörnqvist; Janne Flyghed; Richard Ericson; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Power; Productive; Repressive; Risk; State; Foucault; Marx; Criminology; Kriminologi; kriminologi; Criminology;

    Abstract : Four interventions are analysed: the activity guarantee for long term unemployed, the customs control of border crossers, the cognitive skills training program and the conditions of incarceration among prison inmates. The interventions are performed by state organisations, based on considerations of risk and involve the exercise of power in a productive or repressive form. READ MORE

  2. 2. Monotonic and Cyclic Plastic Deformation of High-Strength Aluminium Alloys

    Author : Magnus Hörnqvist Colliander; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Strain rate effects; Heat treatment; Dynamic strain ageing; Precipitation hardening; Low cycle fatigue; AA7030; Plastic deformation; Temperature effects; EN AW-7030; Al-Zn-Mg; Strain hardening; Mechanical properties; Dynamic precipitation.;

    Abstract : Dynamic strain ageing (DSA) and dynamic precipitation (DP) are two, closely interrelated, phenomena arising from the dynamic interaction between mobile solute atoms and dislocations. The occurrence of DSA and DP is confined to specific ranges of strain rate and temperature, and aluminium alloys are generally prone to experience DSA and DP already at ambient temperatures and conventional strainrates. 3. 3. The Plastic Flow Behaviour of Aluminium Alloys Exhibiting Dynamic Strain Ageing

    Author : Magnus Hörnqvist Colliander; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Al-Zn-Mg; Dynamic strain ageing; Strain rate sensitivity; Portevin-Le Chatelier effect; Temperature sensitivity; Thermal activation;

    Abstract : The phenomenon known as dynamic strain ageing, abbreviated DSA, has been known since the beginning of last century. It was first discovered as serrations in the load-elongation curve obtained upon deforming specimens of certain alloys in tension. This phenomenon became known as the Portevin-Le Chatelier (PLC) effect. READ MORE

  4. 4. High-Temperature Fatigue in a Steam Turbine Steel : Modelling of Cyclic Deformation and Crack Closure

    Author : Ahmed Azeez; Robert Eriksson; Kjell Simonsson; Daniel Leidermark; Magnus Hörnqvist Colliander; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Abstract : Existing conventional thermal power plants are retrofitted for flexible operations to assist the transition toward more renewable energies. The deployment of many renewable energy power plants is necessary to achieve a clean environment with less pollution. READ MORE

  5. 5. Surface Integrity of Broached Inconel 718 and Influence of Thermal Exposure

    Author : Zhe Chen; Ru Lin Peng; Johan Moverare; Sten Johansson; Magnus Hörnqvist; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Abstract : Inconel 718 is a nickel-based superalloy that is extensively used as a disc material in gas turbine engines. The service life of gas turbine discs is normally governed by the modes of material degradation and fatigue failure since they work mostly at high temperatures and are subjected to cyclic mechanical loadings.
