2. Aspects of analysis of small-sample right censored data using generalized Wilcoxon rank tests
Abstract : The estimated bias and variance of commonly applied and jackknife variance estimators and observed significance level and power of standardised generalized Wilcoxon linear rank sum test statistics and tests, respectively, of Gehan and Prentice are compared in a Monte Carlo simulation study. The variance estimators are the permutational-, the conditional permutational- and the jackknife variance estimators of the test statistic of Gehan, and the asymptotic- and the jackknife variance estimators of the test statistic of Prentice. 3. Contributions to generalized Wilcoxon rank tests
Abstract : In unbalanced small sample size problems with right censorings, the variance estmators of linear rank statistics, may be biased. This is the case with the commonly applied variance estimators for the generalized Wilcoxon rank test statistics of Gehan and Prentice. READ MORE

4. Regulation of RNA Editing : The impact of inosine on the neuronal transcriptome
Abstract : The transcriptome of the mammalian brain is extensively modified by adenosine to inosine (A-to-I) nucleotide conversion by two adenosine deaminases (ADAR1 and ADAR2). As adenosine and inosine have different base pairing properties, A-to-I RNA editing shapes the functional output of both coding and non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs) in the brain. READ MORE

5. Intergenerational touch in PE : a student perspective
Abstract : This thesis takes its point of departure in the research field of intergenerational touch in Physical Education (PE). Previous research in the field have mainly been conducted from a teacher’s perspective and has shown that teachers of PE have become more cautious about using physical contact in recent years.
