  1. 1. Four Proposals for Enterprise Modeling

    University dissertation from Chalmers University of Technology

    Author : Darek Eriksson; Chalmers tekniska högskola.; Chalmers University of Technology.; [2004]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Industriell teknik och ekonomi; Industrial engineering and economy; model; modeling; modeling process; enterprise modeling language; multi-modal modeling; constructivist epistemology; systems science; enterprise; organization; development; change;

    Abstract : Any enterprise – whether a major corporation, a small family-owned business, a public school, a hospital, or a military unit – needs to develop itself continuously in order to adapt to the challenges originating within itself and from its environment, in relation to its overall purpose or mission. Deliberate development and management of an enterprise manifest complexity that gives rise to a central challenge: how can we obtain a comprehensive intelligibility of an enterprise? One conceptual tool to overcome this challenge is enterprise modeling; it supports articulation of an enterprise and consequently intelligibility of its complexity. READ MORE

    University dissertation from Stockholm : Department of Sociology, Stockholm University

    Author : Hernan Mondani; Stockholms universitet.; [2017]
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; organizational dynamics; social organizing; organizational change; modeling; organizational growth; process stability; labor flow network; employment trajectories; heavy-tailed distributions; complex network analysis; sequence analysis; agent-based modeling; sociophysics; Sociology; sociologi;

    Abstract : The study of how social organizations work, change and develop is central to sociology and to our understanding of the social world and its transformations. At the same time, the underlying principles of organizational dynamics are extremely difficult to investigate. READ MORE

  3. 3. PDEModelica – A High-Level Language for Modeling with Partial Differential Equations

    University dissertation from Institutionen för datavetenskap

    Author : Levon Saldamli; Linköpings universitet.; Linköpings universitet.; [2006]
