1. Monolith Reactors in Three-Phase Processes
Abstract : The use of monoliths in chemical processes has been studied with the emphasis on liquid-phase hydrogenations. A monolithic catalyst consists of many narrow, parallel channels with catalytically active species either incorporated into the wall itself or into a layer of a porous oxide deposited on the wall (a washcoat). 2. Monolith catalysts for car exhaust : experimental and theoretical studies of oxygen storage, flow and mass transfer
Abstract : .... READ MORE

3. Mathematical Modelling in Catalytic Automotive Pollution Control
Abstract : Design and control of honeycomb monolith reactors for catalytic automotive pollution control by mathematical modelling of the reactor has been studied. One aspect of the design has been that the use of metallic monolithic catalysts for automotive emission control raises certain optimization possibilities. READ MORE

4. Monolithic separation media synthesized in capillaries and their applications for molecularly imprinted networks
Abstract : The thesis describes the synthesis of chromatographic media using several different approaches, their characterizations and applications in liquid chromatography. The steps to achieve a separation column for a specific analyte are presented. The main focus of the study was the design of novel molecularly imprinted polymers. READ MORE

5. Rhodium diesel-reforming catalysts for fuel cell applications
Abstract : Heavy-duty diesel truck engines are routinely idled at standstill to provide cab heating or air conditioning, and in addition to supply electricity to comfort units such as radio and TV. Idling is an inefficient and unfavorable process resulting in increased fuel consumption, increased emissions, shortened engine life, impaired driver rest and health, and elevated noise. READ MORE
