  1. 1. Modelling Chemical Reactions : Theoretical Investigations of Organic Rearrangement Reactions

    Author : Per-Erik Larsson; Sten Lunell; Nessima Salhi-Benachenhou; Olle Matsson; Osvaldo Goscinski; Ian H. Williams; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Quantum chemistry; Kvantkemi; Quantum chemistry; Kvantkemi; Quantum Chemistry; Kvantkemi;

    Abstract : Chemical reactions are ubiquitous and very important for life and many other processes taking place on earth. In both theoretical and experimental studies of reactivity a transition state is often used to rationalise the outcome of such studies. READ MORE

  3. 3. Neutron induced light-ion production from iron and bismuth at 175 MeV

    Author : Riccardo Bevilacqua; Stephan Pomp; Magnus Wolke; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; neutron induced reactions; light-ion production; quasi-monoenergetic neutron beam; nuclear data; accelerator driven systems; Nuclear physics; Kärnfysik; Nuclear Physics; kärnfysik; Applied Nuclear Physics; tillämpad kärnfysik;

    Abstract : Light-ions (protons, deuterons, tritons, 3He and α articles) production in the interaction of 175 MeV neutrons with iron and bismuth has been measured using the Medley setup at the The Svedberg Laboratory (TSL) in Uppsala. These measurements have been conducted in the frame of an international collaboration whose aim is to provide the scientific community with new nuclear data of interest for the development of Accelerator Driven Systems, in the range of 20 to 200 MeV. 4. 4. Fragmentation in Proton-Nucleus Reactions from 100 to 1400 MeV

    Author : Henrik Jäderström; Lars Wesretberg; Yuri Murin; Kjell Aleklett; Haik Simon; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : Nuclear physics; proton; deuteron; 20Ne; 28Si; Xe; nuclear reactions; inverse kinematics; recoils; intermediate mass fragments; angular distribution; DCM model; JQMD model; CFEM model; single event upset; Kärnfysik;

    Abstract : The heaviest fragments, recoils, have been studied in proton and deuteron induced 28Si reactions and proton-20Ne reactions at 100-300 MeV per nucleon. Inclusive charge and angular distributions and coincidences between He nuclei and recoils have been compared to two theoretical models, Dubna Cascade Model and JAERI Quantum Molecular Dynamics. 5. 5. Reactions with radioactive beams and development of scintillator-based detector systems

    Author : Alexander Knyazev; Kärnfysik; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Nuclear physics; Reactions; Detectors; SImulation; Light transport simulation; Calorimetry; Fysicumarkivet A:2020:Knyazev;

    Abstract : An experiment on elastic scattering of 15 C on 208 Pb at an energy of 65 MeVwas performed at ISOLDE (CERN) exploiting the advantages of the ISOL te-chinique. The measurement showed in increase of the reaction cross section to3035 mb with respect to 12 C, confirming the results obtained at 80 MeV/u. READ MORE
