1. Advanced Organic Hole Transport Materials for Solution-Processed Photovoltaic Devices
Abstract : Solution-processable photovoltaic devices (PVs), such as perovskite solar cells (PSCs) and solid-state dye-sensitized solar cells (sDSCs) show great potential to replace the conventional silicon-based solar cells for achieving low-cost and large-area solar electrical energy generation in the near future, due to their easy manufacture and high efficiency. Organic hole transport materials (HTMs) play important roles in both PSCs and sDSCs, and thereby can well facilitate the hole separation and transportation, for obtaining high performance solar cells. 2. Mesostructured materials : Synthesis towards applications
Abstract : A new class of materials with well-defined structures on mesoscopic (2-50 nm) length scales has attracted considerable interest during the last decade. These mesostructured mataterials are formed from the self-assembly of amphiphillic molecules and inorganic precursors. READ MORE

3. Thin films for indoor air monitoring : Measurements of Volatile Organic Compounds
Abstract : Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in the indoor air have adverse effects on the dwellers residing in a building or a vehicle. One of these effects is called sick building syndrome (SBS). READ MORE

4. Chemical Vapour Deposition of Undoped and Oxygen Doped Copper (I) Nitride
Abstract : In science and technology there is a steadily increased demand of new materials and new materials production processes since they create new application areas as well as improved production technology and economy. This thesis includes development and studies of a chemical vapour deposition (CVD) process for growth of thin films of the metastable material copper nitride, Cu3N, which is a semiconductor and decomposes at around 300 oC. 5. Towards 3D Covalent Organic Framework Films
Abstract : Porous materials are of great scientific interest because they are able to interact with guests, such as ions, atoms and molecules throughout their entire volume. One big subgroup of organic porous materials are covalent organic frameworks (COFs), which are mainly synthesized as powders with an uncontrolled grain size. READ MORE
