    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Political support; European Union; Legitimacy;

    Abstract : Public attitudes towards the European Union (EU) have become increasingly important over time. This especially since the process of European integration has become widely considered as a political process affected by attitudinal fluctuations. READ MORE

  2. 2. Theranostic Targeting of GRPR and PSMA in Prostate Cancer

    Author : Ayman Abouzayed; Anna Orlova; Ulrika Rosenström; Anzhelika Vorobyeva; Bogdan Mitran; Cristina Müller; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; prostate cancer; gastrin-releasing peptide receptor GRPR ; prostate-specific membrane antigen PSMA ; nuclear medicine; molecular imaging; radiotracers; theranostics; Farmaceutisk vetenskap; Pharmaceutical Science; Oncology; Onkologi;

    Abstract : This thesis is based on five original articles that investigated the theranostics of prostate cancer by gastrin-releasing peptide receptor (GRPR) and prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) targeting. GRPR and PSMA are two extensively evaluated prostate cancer cell markers due to their overexpression in the majority of prostate cancer samples. READ MORE

  3. 3. Silicon Nanoribbon FET Sensors : Fabrication, Surface Modification and Microfluidic Integration

    Author : Roodabeh Afrasiabi; Jan Linnros; Michel Calame; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Informations- och kommunikationsteknik; Information and Communication Technology;

    Abstract : Over the past decade, the field of medical diagnostics has seen an incredible amount of research towards the integration of one-dimensional nanostructures such as carbon nanotubes, metallic and semiconducting nanowires and nanoribbons for a variety of bio-applications. Among the mentioned one-dimensional structures, silicon nanoribbon (SiNR) field-effect transistors (FET) as electro-chemical nanosensors hold particular promise for label-free, real-time and sensitive detection of biomolecules using affinity-based detection. 4. 4. Advancements in Lithium-Based Batteries : Unraveling and Mitigating Performance-Limiting Phenomena in Negative Electrodes

    Author : Yu-Kai Huang; Leif Nyholm; William Brant; Erik Lewin; Gunther Brunklaus; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; lithium-based batteries; negative electrodes; negative electrode materials; lithium diffusion; lithium trapping; lithium electrodeposition; Kemi med inriktning mot materialkemi; Chemistry with specialization in Materials Chemistry;

    Abstract : The development of lithium-based batteries, especially lithium-ion batteries, has changed our daily lives significantly. The technologies first enabled by lithium-based batteries are now in turn creating a demand for better lithium-based batteries with higher energy densities and longer cycling lifetimes. READ MORE

  5. 5. Genetic and serologic characterization of a Swedish human hantavirus isolate

    Author : Marie Lindkvist; Göran Bucht; Clas Alhm; Per Juto; Rainer Ulrich; Umeå universitet; []

    Abstract : Hantaviruses are found practically all over the world and cause hemorrhagic fevers in man. Each year about 150,000 people are hospitalized in these zoonotic infections which can be of two types: hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) or hantavirus cardiopulmonary syndrome (HCPS), depending on the infecting virus.
