  1. 1. Paleoproterozoic deformation in the Kiruna‑Gällivare area in northern Norrbotten, Sweden : Setting, character, age, and control of iron oxide-apatite deposits

    Author : Joel Andersson; Tobias Bauer; Olof Martinsson; Nicholas Oliver; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Kiruna; Gällivare; structural geology; Paleoproterozoic; deformation; Malmgeologi; Ore Geology;

    Abstract : This thesis covers the structural evolution of the Kiruna‑Gällivare area in the northern Norrbotten ore province, Sweden. The study area hosts several economically significant iron oxide-apatite (IOA) deposits and includes the type locality for this ore type. READ MORE

  2. 2. P-T evolotion and High-temperature deformation of Precambrian eclogite, Sveconorwegian orogen

    Author : Lorraine Tual; Berggrundsgeologi; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Eclogite; Precambrian; P–T path; Basal shear zone; Sveconorwegian orogen; Deformation; thermometry;

    Abstract : The 1.1-0.9 Ga Sveconorwegian orogen is one of several Grenvillian-aged orogenic belts that mark the amalgamation of supercontinent Rodinia. The highest-pressure rocks in the Sveconorwegian orogen are eclogites in the Eastern Segment (SW Sweden). READ MORE

  3. 3. Analyses of Resilient Behavior of Unbound Materials for the Purpose of Predicting Permanent Deformation Behavior

    Author : Jan Englund; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Permanent Deformation; Unbound Material; Resilient Deformation; Post Compaction; Falling Weight Deflectometer FWD ; Triaxial Testing; Heavy Vehicle Simulator HVS ; Modulus;

    Abstract : Post compaction is the unintended compaction of the unbound material that commences immediately after a road is brought into service and caused by densification of the material. Analogies to this post compaction can also be seen in laboratory and field tests. READ MORE

  4. 4. Monotonic and Cyclic Plastic Deformation of High-Strength Aluminium Alloys

    Author : Magnus Hörnqvist Colliander; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Strain rate effects; Heat treatment; Dynamic strain ageing; Precipitation hardening; Low cycle fatigue; AA7030; Plastic deformation; Temperature effects; EN AW-7030; Al-Zn-Mg; Strain hardening; Mechanical properties; Dynamic precipitation.;

    Abstract : Dynamic strain ageing (DSA) and dynamic precipitation (DP) are two, closely interrelated, phenomena arising from the dynamic interaction between mobile solute atoms and dislocations. The occurrence of DSA and DP is confined to specific ranges of strain rate and temperature, and aluminium alloys are generally prone to experience DSA and DP already at ambient temperatures and conventional strainrates. 5. 5. Development of Methods for Phase System Characterization in Liquid Chromatography

    Author : Jörgen Samuelsson; Torgny Fornstedt; Karin Caldwell; Attila Felinger; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : Analytical chemistry; Liquid chromatography; Adsorption isotherms; Adsorption energy distribution; Tracer pulse method; Elution by characteristic points; Peak deformation; Validation; Hybrid column material; Alkaline separation; Injection-profiles; Analytisk kemi;

    Abstract : The aim of this thesis is first and foremost to improve the fundamental knowledge of nonlinear and preparative separation theory by focusing on some of the remaining “white spots” on the theoretical chromatographic map. Secondly, the acquired knowledge is used to develop, validate and execute new methods for phase characterization in liquid chromatography. READ MORE
