    Keywords : NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP;

    Abstract : .... READ MORE

  2. 7. Characterization of stress-inducible short-chain dehydrogenases/reductases (SDR) in plants : study of a novel small protein family from Pisum sativum (pea)

    Author : Nikolai Scherbak; Åke Strid; Jan Rydström; Örebro universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Cell biology; Biology; Biologi; Biology; Biologi;

    Abstract : In pea (Pisum sativum), the short-chain alcohol dehydrogenase-like protein (SAD) gene family consists of at least three members (SAD-A, -B, and -C). The SAD genes are transiently expressed in plants after short exposures to ultraviolet-B radiation, which in turn leads to formation of SAD protein in leaf and stem tissue upon prolonged irradiation. 3. 8. Auxin dynamics during adventitious root formation in pea (Pisum sativum L.) cuttings

    Author : Ann-Caroline Nordström; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; ärtväxter;

    Abstract : The regulatory function of the auxins indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) and indole-3-butyric acid (IBA) inadventitious root formation was studied in cuttings of pea (Pisum sativum L.). These auxins, aswell as the conjugate of IAA with aspartic acid (lAAsp), were identified as naturally occurringconstituents in both seedlings and cuttings. READ MORE

  4. 9. Pea weevil (Bruchus pisorum L.) resistance and genetic diversity in field pea (Pisum sativum L.)

    Author : Abel Teshome; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; []
    Keywords : LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : Field pea (Pisum sativum L.) is an important source of protein in developing countries like Ethiopia. However, the production of field pea is hampered by invasive pests like the pea weevil (Bruchus pisorum L.). READ MORE

  5. 10. Interaction between auxin, cytokinin and ethylene in the regulation of root growth in Pisum sativum L

    Author : Gertrud Bertell; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : The effects of exogenous auxins (indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), indole-3-butyric acid (IBA) and 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D)), cytokinins (benzylaminopurine (BAP) and zeatin) and ethylene, applied as the precursor 1 -aminocyclopropane- 1-carboxylic acid (ACC), on the root growth of pea (Pisumsativum L.) seedlings were investigated.
