  1. 21. Industrial Digital Fabrication Using Inkjet Technology

    Author : Ingo Reinhold; Carl-Mikael Zetterling; Matti Mäntysalo; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; inkjet printing; droplet formation; digital fabrication; sintering; nanoparticles; printed electronics; Industrial Information and Control Systems; Industriella informations- och styrsystem; Media Technology; Medieteknik; Informations- och kommunikationsteknik; Information and Communication Technology;

    Abstract : The use of acoustic waves initiated by the deformation of a microchannel is one method for generating monodisperse, micrometer-sized droplets from small orifices and is employed in piezo-electric inkjet printheads. These printheads are used in both graphical printing and digital fabrication, where functionalities, such as optical, biological, electrical or mechanical, are being produced locally. READ MORE

  2. 22. Customised information on packaging : driving forces and logistical aspects

    Author : Magnus Viström; KTH; []
    Keywords : Technology; packaging; production; logistics; TEKNIKVETENSKAP; TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP;

    Abstract : This thesis work is divided into two parts that relate to each other. The first part investigates driving forces and limiting factors in the customisation of information on packaging and the second part focuses on how the customisation task should be performed in order to obtain high productivity and efficient logistics. 3. 23. Development of the mineralogical path for geometallurgical modeling of iron ores

    Author : Mehdi Parian; Antti Remes; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Mineralteknik; Mineral Processing;

    Abstract : The demands for more effective utilization of ore bodies and proper risk management in the mining industry have resulted in a new cross discipline called geometallurgy. Geometallurgy connects geological, mineral processing and subsequent downstream processing information together to provide a comprehensive model to be used in production planning and management. 4. 24. Ethanol from woodCellulase enzyme production

    Author : Zsolt Szengyel; Avdelningen för kemiteknik; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Chemical technology and engineering; FPA measurement; acetic acid; furfural; non-volatile; volatile; inhibition; pH; carbon source; liquid; solid; softwood; hardwood; cellulases; production; Kemiteknik och kemisk teknologi; Biotechnology; Bioteknik;

    Abstract : Conversion of biomass to liquid fuels, such as ethanol, has been investigated during the past decades. First due to the oil crisis of the 1970s and lately because of concerns about greenhouse effect, ethanol has been found to be a suitable substitute for gasoline in transportation. READ MORE

  5. 25. Production of L-arginine by Escherichia coli : Impact of genetic modifications, carbon and nitrogen sources

    Author : Mireille Ginesy; Ulrika Rova; Michael Sauer; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Biokemisk processteknik; Biochemical Process Engineering;

    Abstract : In the recent years, the demand for environmental friendly produced L-arginine has risen with the increasing number of applications for this amino acid in pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, cosmetics, animal feed and fertilizers.Microbial production of L-arginine usually relies on Corynebacterium glutam-icum and Corynebacterium crenatum strains.
