1. Frequency Transfer Techniques and Applications in Fiber Optic Communication Systems
Abstract : Modern society is dependent on communications and the developments of these increases constantly through a seemingly endless demand for communication services and thereby synchronization and time. This is confirmed by a vast range of research on communications, irrespective of technology and protocol. READ MORE

2. Time and Frequency Transfer using Passive Techniques in Active Fiber Optic Networks
Abstract : For the modern society, high precision time and frequency transfer have become crucial since a large number of systems, such as telecommunication systems, require precise and stable synchronization. Electric power companies use synchronized systems for taking stability measurements and searching for errors in their networks. READ MORE

3. Aetiologies and Epidemiology of Subdural Haematoma in Infancy
Abstract : According to scientific studies, subdural haematoma (SDH) in combination with retinal haemorrhage and encephalopathy (usually denoted as the triad) during infancy is highly specific for abusive head trauma/shaken baby syndrome, if a fall from over one meter, a traffic accident and certain medical conditions have been excluded. Other studies have challenged this notion since there are witnessed falls from less than one meter which has caused acute SDH, birth-related SDH which have been confirmed to develop into chronic SDH, and external hydrocephalus that can be complicated by a spontaneous SDH or an SDH from minor trauma. 4. Mitochondria targeting and its consequences for cell death in neuroblastoma
Abstract : Mitochondria are one of the central regulators of several physiological and pathological processes. For instance, homeostatic glycolysis, citric acid cycle, and oxidative phosphorylation are all regulated by mitochondria. In addition, these organelles play a pivotal role in apoptosis, a process of programmed cell death. READ MORE

5. Enzymatic studies of alcohol dehydrogenase by a combination of in vitro and in silico methods
Abstract : The family of alcohol dehydrogenases (ADHs) catalyzes conversions of alcohols, ketons and aldehydes. The early discovery and isolation of ADH (1937) was followed by numerous investigations. It was also the first dimeric enzyme for which the threedimensional structure was determined (1974). READ MORE
