1. Large-scale Runoff Generation and Routing : Efficient Parameterisation using High-resolution Topography and Hydrography
Abstract : Water has always had a controlling influence on the earth’s evolution. Understanding and modelling the large-scale hydrological cycle is important for climate prediction and water-resources studies. READ MORE

2. Spatially Distributed Hydrological Modelling : Wetness Derived from Digital Elevation Models to Estimate Peatland Carbon
Abstract : To study the hydrology of peatlands and explore wetness distribution is difficultmainly due to the complexity of the surface of peatlands, and also due to the presence of permafrost underlain peatlands in the arctic regions. I have chosen the area called Stordalen mire in the arctic region in northern Sweden for my study. READ MORE

3. Quantitative controls on the routing of supraglacial meltwater to the bed of glaciers and ice sheets
Abstract : The influence of seasonal influx of supraglacial meltwater on basal water pressures and consequent changes in ice surface velocity has been a focus of research spanning over three decades, particularly focussing on alpine glaciers. Now, with increased recognition for a need to better include glacial hydrology within models of ice dynamics and ice sheet evolution, the ability to predict where and when meltwater is delivered to the subglacial system is paramount, both for understanding the dynamics of alpine glaciers, and of large Arctic ice masses. 4. Network Management for Dynamic and Heterogeneous Wireless Sensor Networks
Abstract : Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are interconnections of spatially distributed sensor nodes with low-power wireless communication. In comparison with traditional wireless networks, WSNs provide novel features in network architecture, which are known as low-cost networking, rapid formation, widespread arrangement, self-organisation, and ease of deployment.
