  1. 1. Hyenas of the Limpopo : The Social Politics of Undocumented Movement Across South Africa’s Border with Zimbabwe

    Author : Xolani Tshabalala; Stefan Jonsson; Carl-Ulrik Schierup; Amanda Hammar; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; migration; undocumented movement; assisted border crossings; illegibility; border practices; informality; social politics; dispossession; cheap labour; Beitbridge; Southern Africa; South Africa; Zimbabwe.; migration; papperslös mobilitet; assisterade gränsovergångar; oläslighet; vardagspolitik; informalitet; fördrivning; billig arbetskraft; Beitbridge; södra Afrika; Sydafrika; Zimbabwe;

    Abstract : An increasing number of people today cross the Beitbridge border of South Africa and Zimbabwe. This comes with a corresponding growth of creative strategies that seek to aid the crossing of those people and goods that may lack the necessary documentation. READ MORE

  2. 2. Creep Behavior of High Temperature Cast Materials for Exhaust Applications

    Author : Christian Öberg; Stefan Jonsson; Baohua Zhu; John Hald; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Creep; creep behaviour; creep damage; ductile cast iron; high-alloyed austenitic cast steel; thermal cycling; tensile testing; stress relaxation; oxidation; precipitation.; Teknisk materialvetenskap; Materials Science and Engineering;

    Abstract : This thesis focuses on creep of four cast materials intended for exhaust manifolds in heavy-duty truck engines. Two of the materials are ferritic ductile cast irons, SiMo51 and SiMo1000, one is an austenitic ductile cast iron, D5S, and another one is an austenitic cast steel, HK30. READ MORE

  3. 3. Oxidation and corrosion fatigue aspects of cast exhaust manifolds

    Author : Madeleine Ekström; Stefan Jonsson; Ulf Olofsson; Babette Tonn; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; cast exhaust manifolds; high-temperature corrosion; high-temperature low-cycle fatigue; high-temperature corrosion fatigue; ductile cast irons; cast stainless steel; Materials Science and Engineering; Teknisk materialvetenskap;

    Abstract : Emission regulations for heavy-duty diesel engines are becoming increasingly restrictive to limit the environmental impacts of exhaust gases and particles. Increasing the specific power output of diesel engines would improve fuel efficiency and greatly reduce emissions, but these changes could lead to increased exhaust gas temperature, increasing demands on the exhaust manifold material.
