  1. 1. Synthesis and Structure of Novel G-Protein Coupled Receptor Ligands

    Author : Magnus Brisander; Tommy Liljefors; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; strukturkemi; Structural Chemistry;

    Abstract : A method based on h6-arenetricarbonylchromium chemistry has been developed for the synthesis of enantiopure 4-alkylated 3-(dipropylamino)chromans. The stereochemistry of these new serotonergic ligands was determined by a combination of X-ray crystallography, NMR spectroscopy and chemical correlation. READ MORE

  2. 2. High pressure structural investigations using single crystal techniques : influence of pressure on Jahn-Teller distorted alkali manganese fluorides

    Author : Stefan Carlson; Stefan Werner; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Chemistry; Kemi; strukturkemi; Structural Chemistry;

    Abstract : The results from high-pressure single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies of some ternary sodium transition metal fluorides are presented. The structures of NaMnF4, Na2MnF5, Na3MnF6 and Na3ScF6 have been investigated at high pressures, and in connection with these studies the Na5Mn3F14 structure has been investigated at ambient pressure. 3. 3. Molecular recognition in the solid state : crystal structure studies of selected inclusion compounds of host molecules with roof-shaped skeleton

    Author : Olga Helmle; Janusz Lipkowski; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Chemistry; Kemi; strukturkemi; Structural Chemistry;

    Abstract : This survey presents the results of single-crystal X-ray diffraction investigations of nine selected organic heteromolecular complexes in terms of the molecular recognition concept. The host molecules of the studied inclusion compounds have the 9,10-dihydro-9,10-ethanoanthracene moiety in common, to which various sensor groups possessing both proton donor and acceptor abilities are attached. 4. 4. Nanostructured ZnO and metal chalcogenide films for solar photocatalysis

    Author : Taha Ahmed; Tomas Edvinsson; Jiefang Zhu; Mats Johnsson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; photocatalysis; zinc oxide; quantum dots; nanorods; quantum confinement; low-dimensional; cathodic electrodeposition; Raman spectroscopy; Chemistry with specialization in Inorganic Chemistry; Kemi med inriktning mot oorganisk kemi;

    Abstract : The increasing demand for clean energy and safe water resources has driven the development of efficient and sustainable technologies. Among these technologies, photocatalysis using semiconducting materials has emerged as a promising solution for both solar hydrogen generation and water purification. READ MORE

  5. 5. The Electrochemistry of LiNi0.5-xMn1.5+xO4-δ in Li-ion Batteries : Structure, Side-reactions and Cross-talk

    Author : Burak Aktekin; Kristina Edström; Daniel Brandell; Wolfgang Zipprich; Fernanda Lodi Marzano; Christian Masquelier; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; LNMO; High-voltage spinel; FEC; Cross-talk; Cation ordering; Oxygen deficiency; Anionic redox; Chemistry with specialization in Inorganic Chemistry; Kemi med inriktning mot oorganisk kemi;

    Abstract : The use of Li-ion batteries in portable electronic products is today widespread and on-going research is extensively dedicated to improve their performance and energy density for use in electric vehicles. The largest contribution to the overall cell weight comes from the positive electrode material, and improvements regarding this component thereby render a high potential for the development of these types of batteries.
