  1. 1. Measurement of sensitivity to DNA damaging agents

    Author : Sherin T Mathew; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; intrinsic sensitivity; DNA damage; ionizing radiation; cell division;

    Abstract : There is a large inter-individual variation in intrinsic sensitivity in patients receiving treatment with DNA damaging agents. Cancer therapy exemplifies this problem where patients experience varying degree of normal tissue side effects in response to radiation or chemotherapy. READ MORE

  2. 2. Shb and Its Homologues: Signaling in T Lymphocytes and Fibroblasts

    Author : Cecilia Lindholm; Hamid Band; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Cell biology; Shb; T cell receptor; IL-2 receptor; PDGF receptor; cell signaling; adapter proteins; LAT; Vav; PLC-g1; SLP-76; JAK1; JAK3; Jurkat cells; T cells; NK cells; Apoptosis.; Cellbiologi; Cell biology; Cellbiologi; medicinsk cellbiologi; Medical Cell Biology;

    Abstract : Stimulation of the T cell receptor (TCR) induces tyrosine phosphorylation of numerous intracellular proteins, leading to activation of the interleukin-2 (IL-2) gene in T lymphocytes. Shb is a ubiquitously expressed adapter protein, with the ability to associate with the T cell receptor and several signaling proteins in T cells, including: the TCR ζ-chain, LAT, PLC-γ1, Vav, SLP-76 and Gads. 3. 3. Deposition and Resolution of AA Amyloid

    Author : Sofia N. Nyström; Gunilla T Westermark; Christoph Röcken; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; AA-amyloid; autophagy; resolution; Morphology; cell biology; pathology; Morfologi; cellbiologi; patologi;

    Abstract : Amyloidosis is a group of protein misfolding diseases characterized by extracellulardeposition of fibrillar protein aggregates. Today more than 25 different human amyloidogenicproteins have been identified, causing a variety of pathological conditions that includeAlzheimer’s disease, type 2 diabetes and prion diseases. 4. 4. DNA methylation in T cell leukaemia

    Author : Maike Bensberg; Colm Nestor; Maria Jenmalm; Sofie Degerman; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES;

    Abstract : T cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (T-ALL) is a predominantly paediatric cancer that stems from malignant transformation of developing T cells. While the disease has an overall survival rate of 80%, the intense chemotherapy treatment causes severe toxicity and long-term side effects. READ MORE

  5. 5. Development and evaluation of a subunit DIVA vaccine against bluetongue virus serotype 8 in cattle

    Author : Jenna Anderson; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; []
