  1. 1. Vibrational Response Reconstruction and Model Validation

    University dissertation from Chalmers University of Technology

    Author : Anders T Johansson; Chalmers tekniska högskola.; Chalmers University of Technology.; [2008]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Teknisk mekanik; Engineering mechanics; rig test; response reconstruction; drive signal identification; model updating; model validation; state space; inverse problems; error metrics; controllability;

    Abstract : In this thesis, laboratory response reconstruction and computational model validation is investigated. The former concerns applications of control theory as the objective is to reproduce a certain loading for a known component, while the latter concerns optimization of a parameterized model as the objective is to modify a computational model to mimic a certain component's behavior. 2. 2. Severe maternal morbidity in Angola : Studies on postpartum haemorrhage, jaundice and clinic-based audit

    University dissertation from Stockholm : Karolinska Institutet, Department of Public Health Sciences

    Author : Roland T Strand; Karolinska Institutet.; Karolinska Institutet.; [2005]
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Active management of third stage of labour; Angola; audit; jaundice; malaria; hepatitis E; postpartum haemorrhage; uterine rupture; waiting time;

    Abstract : Background: Angola has recently ended a long period of warfare, which has resulted in an almost complete collapse of public health. In Luanda, the capital, some 70,000 deliveries take place in public facilities. Maternal morbidity and mortality is among the highest in the world. Postpartum haemorrhage is the dominant cause of death. READ MORE

  3. 3. Radiographers’ Professional Competence : Development of a context-specific instrument

    University dissertation from Jönköping : School of Health Sciences

  4. 4. Simulation methods for hydropower flows modeling and validation experiments

    University dissertation from Luleå tekniska universitet

    Author : T. Fredrik Engström; Luleå University of Technology.; Luleå University of Technology.; Luleå University of Technology.; [2001]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : My research project aims for more accurate modeling of the flow in hydropower plants. By accurate modeling, it is possible to try different modifications on existing plants in an affordable manner. Also, entirely new designs can be tested before realization. Hydropower delivers almost 50% of Sweden's electricity demand with a production of 74 TWh. READ MORE

  5. 5. Dynamic response reconstruction using passive components

    University dissertation from Chalmers University of Technology

    Author : Anders T Johansson; Chalmers tekniska högskola.; Chalmers University of Technology.; [2012]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Tillämpad matematik; Applied mathematics; Teknisk mekanik; Engineering mechanics; experimental methods; Time Waveform Replication; response reconstruction; drive signal identification; passive control; model calibration; model updating; substructuring; controllability;

    Abstract : In many testing applications within the field of structural dynamics, such as noise and vibration harshness, rattle and squeak, or durability testing in the automotive and truck industries, large hydraulic or electromagnetic actuators are used to excite the tested structure. Such actuators are mounted in the laboratory in a fixed configuration referred to here as a test rig. READ MORE
