1. Search for new Phenomena in Dijet Angular Distributions at √s = 8 and 13 TeV
Abstract : A new energy regime has recently become accessible in collisions at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN. Abundant in hadron collisions, the two-jet final state explores the structure of the constituents of matter and the possible emergence of new forces of nature, in the largest momentum transfer collisions produced. 2. Intracellular systems for characterization and engineering of proteases and their substrates
Abstract : Over the years, the view on proteases as relatively non-specific protein degradation enzymes, mainly involved in food digestion and intracellular protein turnover, has shifted and they are now recognized as key regulators of many biological processes that determine the fate of a cell. Besides their biological role, proteases have emerged as important tools in various biotechnical, industrial and medical applications. READ MORE

3. Dijet angular distributions in proton-proton collisions at root s = 7 TeV and root s = 14 TeV
Abstract : Dijet angular distributions provide an excellent tool for looking at high transverse momentum parton interactions in order to study both QCD and new physics processes. With the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) recently brought into use, an unprecedented energy regime has opened up. ATLAS is one of the experiments at the LHC. READ MORE

4. Λ/K0s Associated with a Jet in Central Pb–Pb Collisions at √sNN = 2.76 TeV Measured with the ALICE Detector
Abstract : In high energy heavy ion collisions, the QCD matter undergoes a phase transition to a hot and dense strongly coupled Quark Gluon Plasma, where quarks and gluons are deconfined in a volume of nuclear dimensions. At intermediate pT, 2 < p T < 8 GeV/c, a decoupling from pure hydrodynamical flow is observed, most noticeable in central collisions, demonstrated by the peak in the ratio of baryons to mesons, e. 5. Seeking the faint extremes : Detection and characterisation of extragalactic soft-spectrum gamma-ray sources and exploring methods to enhance their detection with machine learning in the 50 GeV-50 TeV energy range
Abstract : This thesis deals with an observational study of Blazars, strong gamma-ray sources with Very High Energies (VHE) located far outside our Galaxy. Blazars are a class of galaxies that contain a supermassive black hole that is actively consuming large quantities of matter, a process that results in the liberation of tremendous amounts of energy that then powers the emission of huge bulks of charged particles that get accelerated almost to the speed of light.
