  1. 1. The ubiquity and type diversity of papillomaviruses in normal skin

    Author : Annika Antonsson; Malmö Klinisk mikrobiologi; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Microbiology; bacteriology; virology; mycology; Mikrobiologi; bakteriologi; virologi; mykologi; skin phylogeny; HPV prevalence; HPV type detrmination; PCR; human papillomavirus; HPV;

    Abstract : Papillomaviruses are a diverse, epitheliotropic group of viruses. Some genotypes are the main cause of anogenital cancer in humans; others can induce skin lesions. In order to investigate the occurrence of subclinical skin infections with human papillomavirus (HPV), a pair of degenerate primers (FAP59/64) was designed. READ MORE

  2. 2. Novel nonlinear multivariate calibration methods

    Author : Greger Andersson; KTH; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : The interest fornonlinear modeling has increasedconcomitantly with the increased awareness of the ubiquity ofnonlinear systems. The traditional solution in analyticalchemistry, to linearize the system by some sort of samplepretreatment, is not always an option in process analyticalchemistry. READ MORE

    Abstract : Space-geodetic techniques are based on signal acquisition from extraterrestrial radio sources that can be used to infer geodetic positioning and define Earth-fixed and inertial reference systems. These techniques, which include Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) and Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) among others, exhibit different strengths and weaknesses in recovering parameters of interest.
