  1. 1. Particulate Formation in GDI Engines

    Author : Sreelekha Etikyala; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; PM; Alternate fuels; Gasoline Direct Injection; internal combustion engines; Particulate Number; Load transients;

    Abstract : The need to comply with stringent emission regulations while improving fuel economy and reducing criteria pollutant emissions from transportation presents a major challenge in the design of gasoline Direct Injection (DI) engines because of the adverse effects of ultrafine Particulate Number (PN) emissions on human health and other environmental concerns. With upcoming advances in vehicle electrification, it may be the case that electric vehicles completely replace all current vehicles powered by internal combustion engines ensuring zero emissions. 2. 2. Particulate Formation in Gasoline Direct Injection Engines

    Author : Sreelekha Etikyala; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; PM; Volatileorganic compounds; Gasoline Direct Injection; Particulate Number; Alternate fuels;

    Abstract : Gasoline direct injection (GDI) engines are facing a great challenge because of the need to comply with increasingly stringent emission regulations while improving fuel economy. GDI engines are popularly known for their high fuel efficiency (by the standards of gasoline engines) and low emissions, enabling higher compression ratios and thus increased volumetric efficiency. 3. 3. Study of a Pneumatic Hybrid aided by a FPGA Controlled Free Valve Technology System

    Author : Sasa Trajkovic; Förbränningsmotorer; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Compressor; Air-motor; Pneuamtc; Pneumatic-hybrid; VVT; Valve; regenerative; Hybrid; Air;

    Abstract : Urban traffic involves frequent acceleration and deceleration. During deceleration, the energy previously used to accelerate the vehicle is mainly wasted on heat generated by the friction brakes. If this energy that is wasted in traditional IC engines could be saved, the fuel economy would improve. READ MORE

  4. 4. Failure of vascular tissue with applications to the aneurysm wall, carotid plaque and myocardial tissue

    Author : Caroline Forsell; Christian Gasser; James Moore Jr; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Abstract : Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the modern world. Examples are thoracic aortic aneurysm (TAA), abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) and stroke due to plaque rupture. Failure in soft tissues caused by medical devices is also a medical challenge. READ MORE

  5. 5. The Pneumatic Hybrid Vehicle - A New Concept for Fuel Consumption Reduction
