  1. 1. Photoresponse of Patterned YBa2Cu3O7-x Thin Films

    Author : Martin Danerud; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : The first object of this work was to develop YBa2Cu3O7-x (YBCO) thin films. Initially, Y, BaF2 and Cu were coevaporated with the substrate temperature (TS) 400 °C and the oxygen pressure (pO2) 5 x 10-5 mbar on SrTiO3 substrates with a subsequent high temperature annealing at 890 °C for 15 min in flowing wet oxygen. 4. 4. Control of Defects and Subgrains in Epitaxial Perovskite Thin Films

    Author : Lars Ryen; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; thin film evolution; La0.70Ba0.30MnO3; epitaxial perovskite films; Keywords: TEM; dielectrics; EELS; SrTiO3; YBa2Cu3O7-x; superconductors; colossal magnetoresistance;

    Abstract : This work concerns the microstructure of epitaxial (001) perovskite thin films, studied by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), in particular high resolution TEM, electron energy-loss spectroscopy (EELS), and energy dispersive x-ray analysis. The perovskites exhibit interesting superconducting, dielectric, and magnetic properties. READ MORE

  5. 5. Sub-micron Structures in Laser Ablated YBa2Cu3O7-x Thin Films

    Author : Peter Larsson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : This thesis treats the epitaxial growth of high-Tc superconductors and other perovskite oxides as well as the patterning of these into sub-micron structures for superconducting electronic devices. A computer controlled laser ablation system, based on a KrF excimer laser (248 nm) to induce ablation, was developed to allow complex thin film growth processes. READ MORE
