1. Early Information Processing in the Vertebrate Olfactory System : A Computational Study
Abstract : The olfactory system is believed to be the oldest sensory system. It developed to detect and analyse chemical information in the form of odours, and its organisation follows the same principles in almost all living animals - insects as well as mammals. READ MORE

2. Monitoring lithospheric motions by Satellite geodesy
Abstract : Understanding of global and local Earth’s dynamic processes is of great importance to the Earth’s system knowledge, human life, and sustainability goals (e.g. climatic change and geo-hazard assessment, etc.). READ MORE

3. The Integration of MILLION into the English System of Number Words : A Diachronic Study
Abstract : This corpus-based variationist study traces the history of the English number word MILLION from its first attested use in the 14th century, focusing on the diachronic shift in function from one of heading its noun phrase (NP), as in the obsolescent (Obs) construction three millions of citizens, to one of a post-determiner of its NP head, as in Present-day English (PdE) three million citizens. The authentic historical materials used include both numerous electronic linguistic corpora and, more innovatively, very-large-scale general collections available online, especially historical newspaper collections from the US and UK comprising tens of billions of words. 4. Staphylococcal surface display in directed evolution
Abstract : Engineered affinity proteins have together with naturally derived antibodies becomeindispensable tools in many areas of life-science and with the increasing number ofapplications, the need for high-throughput methods for generation of such different affinityproteins is evident. Today, combinatorial protein engineering is the most successful strategy toisolate novel non-immunoglobulin affinity proteins. READ MORE

5. Molecular-dynamics simulations of polymeric surfaces for biomolecular applications
Abstract : In-vitro diagnostics plays a very important role in the present healthcare system. It consists of a large variety of medical devices designed to diagnose a medical condition by measuring a target molecule in a sample, such as blood or urine. READ MORE
