  1. 1. Choice of bed material: a critical parameter in the optimization of dual fluidized bed systems

    Author : Jelena Maric; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; GoBiGas; biomass ash; ilmenite; feldspar; biofuel; alkali salts; Dual Fluidized Bed; bed material; Chemical Looping Reforming;

    Abstract : Dual Fluidized Bed (DFB) gasification is a promising alternative method for the production of biofuels. In the DFB gasification process, the bed material, which is a crucial component of the process, has two possible roles: 1) to provide the heat needed for the gasification reaction; and 2) if it has catalytic properties, to improve the quality of the produced gas. 2. 2. Steel converter slag as an oxygen carrier

    Author : Fredrik Hildor; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Steel converter slag; Biomass; Oxygen carrier; LD slag; Oxygen carrier aided combustion; Chemical looping;

    Abstract : Thermal conversion of fuels can be used to produce heat and power in addition to chemicals. In order to be aligned with climate targets, it is necessary that such systems do not emit carbon dioxide to the atmosphere. Carbon capture and storage (CCS) can be used together with fuel conversion systems to prevent CO2 from entering the atmosphere. READ MORE

  3. 3. Preparation, structure and properties of Hg, Tl-containing high-temperature superconductors

    Author : Martin Valldor; Stephen Berger; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; oorganisk kemi; Inorganic Chemistry;

    Abstract : Powder samples with the general composition (Tl,Hg)2(Ba,Sr)2(Sr,Ca)Cu2O8-d, abbreviated 2212, were synthesised by solid-state reaction of metal oxides in closed silica ampoules. Depending on the relative amounts of Ba, Sr, and Ca, the superconducting transition temperature, Tc, varied significantly (45-100 K). READ MORE

  4. 4. The Survey of Ash Agglomeration Phenomena in a Commercial Circulating Fluidised Bed (CFB)
