  1. 1. Fragmentation in Proton-Nucleus Reactions from 100 to 1400 MeV

    Author : Henrik Jäderström; Lars Wesretberg; Yuri Murin; Kjell Aleklett; Haik Simon; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : Nuclear physics; proton; deuteron; 20Ne; 28Si; Xe; nuclear reactions; inverse kinematics; recoils; intermediate mass fragments; angular distribution; DCM model; JQMD model; CFEM model; single event upset; Kärnfysik;

    Abstract : The heaviest fragments, recoils, have been studied in proton and deuteron induced 28Si reactions and proton-20Ne reactions at 100-300 MeV per nucleon. Inclusive charge and angular distributions and coincidences between He nuclei and recoils have been compared to two theoretical models, Dubna Cascade Model and JAERI Quantum Molecular Dynamics. 2. 2. Neutron Scattering at 96 MeV

    Author : Angelica Öhrn; Jan Blomgren; Robert Haight; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Nuclear physics; neutron; elastic scattering; inelastic scattering; differential cross section; optical model potential; Wick s limit; angular distribution; pre-equilibrium; Kärnfysik; Physics; Fysik;

    Abstract : Data on elastic scattering of 96 MeV neutrons from 56Fe, 89Y and 208Pb in the angular interval 10-70° are presented. The previously published data on 208Pb have been extended, as a new method has been developed to obtain additional information at the most forward angles. READ MORE

  3. 3. Neutron-Deuteron Scattering and Three-Body Interactions

    Author : Philippe Mermod; Jan Blomgren; Steven Vigdor; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : Nuclear physics; three-body force; neutron; deuteron; elastic scattering; angular distribution; Faddeev equations; Kärnfysik;

    Abstract : High-precision differential cross section data of the neutron-deuteron elastic scattering reaction at 95 MeV are presented. The neutron-proton scattering differential cross section was also measured and used as a reference to allow an accurate absolute normalization of the neutron-deuteron data. READ MORE

  4. 4. Production of photoneutron beams and radionuclides by photonuclear reactions using a 50 MeV racetrack microtron

    Author : Bo Nordell; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Neutron therapy; Photoneutron spectrum; Bremsstrahlung; Angular distribution; Carbon 11; Iodine 123;

    Abstract : The feasibility of using electrons accelerated by a 50 MeV racetrack microtron to generate a mixed beam of neutrons and photons for radiation therapy and for production of radionuclides has been investigated.To develop target systems for these purposes the angular distribution and yield of bremsstrahlung from different targets have been studied theoretically. 5. 5. Meson production in pd collisions

    Author : Karin Schönning; Jozef Zlomanczuk; Bo Höistad; Susan Schadmand; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; meson production; measured angular distribution; total cross section; polarisation; Nuclear physics; Kärnfysik; Nuclear Physics; kärnfysik;

    Abstract : Meson production in proton-deuteron collisions has been studied using the WASA detector facility at the CELSIUS storage ring in Uppsala. Data were obtained at two different beam energies, 1360 MeV and 1450 MeV, slightly above threshold for η and ω mesons. READ MORE
