  1. 1. Optimization of Just-in-Time Sequencing Problems and Supply Chain Logistics

    Author : Gyan Thapa; Sergei Silvestrov; Anatoliy Malyarenko; George Fodor; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Just-in-time; JIT sequencing; apportionment; product rate variation; output rate variation; algorithms; heuristics; supply chain; logistics; queueing; non-linear integer programming; Mathematics Applied Mathematics; matematik tillämpad matematik;

    Abstract : This dissertation presents a comprehensive and comparative progress in sequencing approaches of mixed-model just-in-time (JIT) sequencing problem together with discrete apportioment problem (DAP). The goal of JIT sequencing problem (JITSP) is to keep the rate of usage of parts as constant as possible along the assembly lines, and the goal of DAP is to divide a given integer number of delegates proportionally among the states or the parties according to their population or votes. 2. 2. Development and Evaluation of Methods in Source Apportionment of the Carbonaceous Aerosol

    Author : Johan Martinsson; Kärnfysik; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; carbonaceous aerosol; organic aerosol; aerosol particles; source apportionment; air pollution;

    Abstract : Carbonaceous aerosols are known to affect human health negatively and to affect the climate of Earth. As specific types of aerosols originate from specific sources, it is important to know the amount of aerosols emitted from each source. Aerosol source apportionment is an important tool in mitigating air pollution and improving air quality. READ MORE

  3. 3. Source apportionment of carbonaceous aerosol - Measurement and model evaluation

    Author : Johan Genberg; Ergonomi och aerosolteknologi; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : Aerosol particles are found in the whole troposphere. Research regarding these particles has gained increased attention because of the effect the particles have on both health and climate. In the atmosphere, aerosol particles scatter incoming solar radiation and this has a cooling effect on the Earth’s climate. READ MORE

  4. 4. Evaluating methods in source apportionment of the carbonaceous aerosol

    Author : Johan Martinsson; Kärnfysik; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : Atmosfäriska partiklar (aerosoler) finns överallt i jordens atmosfär. Masskoncentrationen av dessa varierar kraftigt beroende på i vilken miljö man mäter. I stadsluft kan man uppmäta tiotals mikrogram per kubikmeter medan man i arktiska områden uppmäter nanogram per kubikmeter. READ MORE

  5. 5. Sources of dioxins and other POPs to the marine environment : Identification and apportionment using pattern analysis and receptor modeling

    Abstract : In the studies underlying this thesis, various source tracing techniques were applied to environmental samples from the Baltic region. Comprehensive sampling and analysis of polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins (PCDDs) and polychlorinated dibenzofurans (PCDFs) in surface sediments in Swedish coastal and offshore areas resulted in a unique data set for this region.
