1. Kripke on Necessity : A Metaphysical Investigation
Abstract : I undertake a metaphysical investigation of Saul Kripke's modern classic, Naming and Necessity (1980). The general problem of my study may be expressed as follows: What is the metaphysical justification of the validity and existence of the pertinent classes of truths, the necessary a posteriori and the contingent a priori, according to the Kripke Paradigm? My approach is meant to disclose the logical and ontological principles underlying Kripke's arguments for the necessary a posteriori and the contingent a priori respectively. READ MORE

2. A Study of Adaptive Control of Missiles
Abstract : The report assesses the use of adaptive control schemes to the guidance and control problem of tactical missiles. This application is basically characterized by the fact that the unerlying equations are well known and apriori information of parameters can be obtained, i.e. READ MORE

3. On Invertibility of the Radon Transform and Compressive Sensing
Abstract : This thesis contains three articles. The first two concern inversion andlocal injectivity of the weighted Radon transform in the plane. The thirdpaper concerns two of the key results from compressive sensing. In Paper A we prove an identity involving three singular double integrals. READ MORE

4. Topics on Generative Models in Machine Learning
Abstract : Latent variable models have been extensively studied within the field of machine learning in recent years. Especially in combination with neural networks and training through back propagation, they have proven successful for a variety of tasks; notably sample gener- ation, clustering, disentanglement and interpolation. 5. Inverse Problems in Analytic Interpolation for Robust Control and Spectral Estimation
Abstract : This thesis is divided into two parts. The first part deals with theNevanlinna-Pick interpolation problem, a problem which occursnaturally in several applications such as robust control, signalprocessing and circuit theory. We consider the problem of shaping andapproximating solutions to the Nevanlinna-Pick problem in a systematicway. READ MORE
